Feels like Avs might flip Lingren and Vesey for something else because with the way Kylington has played lately, he’s better than Lingren as the 3rd pair LD, and we don’t really have room or need for 4th line winger like Vesey. There is gotta be more to this
Did you hear Bednar specifically point out Kylington's errors last game? That guy is getting scratched on Tuesday I am certain of it.

How they found Kempf

Kempf, 22, is currently playing his senior season at Cornell University and enters tonight with seven points (2g/5a) in 28 games for the Big Red. Over 126 collegiate games, the 6-foot-2, 201-pound defenseman has registered 25 points (4g/21a) from 2021-25 and was teammates with Avalanche defenseman Sam Malinski and Avalanche prospect Matt Stienburg from 2021-23. Kempf was originally drafted by the Rangers in the seventh round (208th overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft.

What really gets me is Kylington works his ass off to finally get healthy and has his best game of the year, and the next day you trade for a guy who pushes him out of the lineup. Pretty shitty if you ask me.

The trade was most likely agreed upon way before the game last night, they were just waiting for the 3-day break to put the call through

Lindgren is going to be playing a much more modest role with the Avs than with the Rangers. I'm not as pessimistic about this trade.

He's a better option than CdH, Malinski, Middleton and probably Kylington.
So we traded a 2nd, a 4th and an impending RFA roster player for our 5th best defenseman who'll be out of contract in the summer. Lindgren might be fine, but the cost to acquire him was wrong.

The only good thing about this trade is the Mein Kempf jokes it could breed, and even they are probably banned on this site so f*** it.

Holy smokes, by the looks of the boards we traded Makar. Fancy graphs are overrated and not a be all end all. Lindgren is better than Calvin. Picks can be overrated as well. Vesey is 4th line insurance. Jusso wasn't in the plans. The fact this may be a rental is a bummer, but with NYR paying half the salary, I'll take the chance.

Is it possible that 50% retained Lingren might have more value than a 2nd round pick? We trade him and Vesey for better pieces?

What? No one gives a flying f*** about Calvin de Haan. He hasn't been mentioned one f***ing time in this thread, before you did it.
