I already posted before how
blown out of proportion the Bednar favoritism narrative is. If those comments really got to Annunen, which I don't believe for a second, he'll spontaneously combust if he ever has to play under someone like Tortorella.
I'm happy Annunen is doing well. Mitch Korn developed Hutton and Saros and now has a chance to work his magic on Annunen. So far, so good.
But frankly, it's not surprising at all Annunen is doing well. Colorado spaced out his starts last year and he was great. The issues came in when the team needed to lean on him out of necessity, like they had Pavel Francouz in years past. That's what Wedgewood has been able to do. He's appeared in five of the last six games and handled it like a champ.
