Malinski playing NHL games is not a good thing for this team. AHLer through and through.

IMO this has more to do with the Avs wanting Behrens to spend a full year with the Eagles.

Love this. I am all for signing guys who can fill a role on the team while shipping guys out for assets. Maybe there's a market out there for Malinski. Nice move Cmac.

I'm in favour of this. Bring in as many talented players as you can, especially if the price is right. He had a rough season but the whole situation was weird. Hopefully he's in a good place now and if he can get back to (or close to) where he was two years ago then this could work out really nicely for the Avs.

This is a good move for the money. He's better than any left side option outside of Toews and Girard. If he plays like he did a few years ago, he can even play in the middle pairing. The risk is that the year off didn't help him and his rust was evident last season. This has all the looks of a guy betting on himself fitting with the Avs.
