Hi
I have seen some parts of the movie "Hey, my name is Dicky", and heard a interview with Toronto Marlies player, Richard Clune.
Seems like a nice and humble guy, who has had his struggles.
Was on ordinary NHL standard contract (his first one way deal) until Nashville bought him out in June, 2015.
Then Toronto gave him a one year, league minimum contract, and from 2016 and counting, he has been an alternate, now captaining the Marlies.
I just wonder what an average salary could look like, for a AHL employee like him?
I kind of feel sorry for him. Could have had a good career in Sweeden or Switzerland I.e. and made some good money.
But first and foremost, I wish him a happy, sober life. Hope this kind of problems, are not to common in minors, college and CHL leagues.
