You know the drill by now.

I'll ask any questions that are likely to yield answers and that aren't combative, hostile, rude or outside of the guests purview.

So please don't ask me to ask Luc Robitaille about the starting goalie rotation, minutes allocation or the health of specific prospects and expect me to do it.

(why do I already regret this...)

EDIT: Just finished recording. Got to a lot of questions. Not all. WIll probably post Monday morning.

This is a broad question that he may not want to answer but is something I’ve always wondered: why are NHL teams seemingly averse to wearing more unique jerseys throughout the year? The Reverse Retro jerseys are some of the coolest in our team’s history. Why was that a single run? Why don’t we do more collaborations with the Lakers and Dodgers and actually wear them during the game?

This is actually a perfect question.

Ask about the pyramid, what's on it, who started it, ( I am guessing DL) has it evolved, and why
I don't know a LOT about the pyramid but I'm almost positive it's a development team thing and started well after Lombardi and Sutter departed.

Ok, cool,

How about this one....and this is for @Herby as well.......ask him his view on how the game has changed for young players coming in, we heard from Glenn Murray about it etc, but Luc didn't spend a minute in the AHL, etc, and how he sees other players coming in not spending a ton of time in the AHL.... (Dahlin, Svechinkov, B. Tkachuk, Hughes etc) vs his own players, Kaliyev, Turcotte, Byfield etc....

I guess, really wanting to know what they see as the difference.....

A related question. I've heard them say that the current black/white color scheme are very popular among fans and players. But nobody on this board seems to like it. Especially the home plate logo.
One, how do they actually perform this type of survey?
And two, any plans on bringing back those reverse retros or something similar (personally I'd like the crown over the chevy logo) permanently at least as a 3rd jersey?

Are they planning to acquire elite goalie prospect via trade or via draft?

Besides the camaraderie, what does he miss the most from playing in the NHL?

What is the biggest thing he has learned as President of the team?

What is the hardest part of his job?

Could Luc please make sure the "Royal Army" goes away forever and the Kings never try to bring a soccer atmosphere to the Arena Formerly Known as Staples ever again?

Edit-ok I read your disclaimer, but please please ask the above question

How close did the 2000-01 team feel like it was to winning the cup. If Smolinski hadn't hit the post or if they got a bounce and beat Colorado, did they think that they could have won in the next two round

More jersey questions. Is there a limit to the amount of reverse retro jerseys that Adidas manufactures? It seems they are incredibly hard to purchase and sell out quickly.

Who is the puppet master?

Lol jk, I agree with the identity question. What kind of identity do they want to build for this team? All teams have had various identities. For example, fast counter attack teams, hard forecheck teams, fast teams, big teams with tall players who grind the most opposition. What game style are the Kings building to? Offense focused or defense focused. And if he says middle ask him what kind of style would that mean the team would have to buy into?

I’d really love to know what is the direction they’re trying to head in because I think I speak for most, We have no idea what the overall focus of this team is supposed to be.

I've been to a few season ticket holder meetings prior to games. They have a big board of prospects and where they foresee them slotting in on prospective lines, pairings etc. How often do they meet as a staff to discuss the progress of the prospects? And when they do, do they discuss areas of improvement for the prospects and what if anything can be done to help address those areas during the season? Do they speak with the prospect himself? His trainers, coaches etc? Has there been a prospect in the pipeline with development growth that completely overshot their initial projection?

Have there been any discussions to have any preseason games at The Forum? I miss David Courtney announcing a sellout crowd of 16,005...

Also, the very first outdoor NHL game was an exhibition between the Kings and Rangers in 1991 in Las Vegas. Have the Kings approached the league about having another outdoor game in Vegas? I'm guessing now they might have a few better options than holding it at the Caesar's Palace parking lot.

I hope you didn't waste too much time writing this post.

"The Arena Formerly Known as Staples Center" would be a better name for the arena today, and a damn fine tribute to "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince".

I will answer your second question: "Just make the playoffs, and anything can happen."

What sort of job interview questions do they ask for coaching positions? Do they ask situational style questions or try to figure out the values of potential coaches and see if that fits the team?

Did the team feel like they lost the series after the McSorley call/game?
