I had this in the tier of best currently available in the Football category, nice choice.

Definitely a classic, maybe not the very first sports comedy, but seems like it was the template for so many copycats that came after.

Good call, forgot about Space Jam. Will be interesting to see who finishes with the most entries. Most of those guys have at least one more movie that may be selected.

Ok after all of our chatting over the passed year or so, I'm not that surprised

But man oh man do we watch different things

I watched a Stalin-era Soviet propaganda film last winter, expecting a totally ridiculous experience, but ended up amazed by the quality of the casting, which was an order of magnitude better than any Western movies since WWII. Stalin, Hitler, Churchill, Roosevelt, Molotov, all pretty much perfectly casted in a way that I never saw in any Western movie.
