Branimal84 Promotions Presents: Back To The Future

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Main Event:

"The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada v. The Dynamite Kid (with Paul Heyman)

Billington, annoyed with those who claim he inspired them to become professional wrestlers, has taken it upon himself to challenge who many believe to be the greatest wrestler in the world today, Kazuchika Okada, to show today's generation how it is done. Armed with a mouthpiece and master strategist in Paul Heyman, Billington is dead set on showing those that while athleticism is important, many today lack the killer instinct it takes to brutalize their opponent.

FTR v. The Midnight Express
(James E. Cornette suspended above the ring in a shark cage)

Having recently taken FTR under his wing, Jim Cornette has boldly proclaimed Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood to be the greatest tag team of all time. Taking exception, The Midnight Express have returned to challenge that claim and confront Cornette to understand this sudden betrayal. In the build to the match, both The Midnight Express and FTR leak voicemails left by Cornette where he is playing both teams and appearing to hedge his bets, dead set on coming out on top no matter which team wins. Given that neither team can trust him, Cornette is forced to be suspended above the ring in a solid steel cage, with the winning team getting 5 minutes alone in the ring with him.

Dean Malenko v. Jonathan Gresham
Terminus Rules (15 min time limit with 90 second OT if needed)

Gresham, alongside his cohorts in The Foundation, have made it their mission to re-establish technical wrestling as the gold standard of the industry. Having torn through some of the biggest names of today, Gresham looks to the past and calls out The Man of 1000 holds, Dean Malenko, as his hand-picked opponent. Malenko, looking for that career-defining moment, accepts. Gresham makes the match under the rules established through his own promotion, TERMINUS, as the bedrock of this all important clash.

Bull Nakano (with Paul Heyman) v. Hikaru Shida

Aligning herself with Paul Heyman and The Dynamite Kid, Bull Nakano issued a challenge to one of the longest reigning AEW Women's Champions Hikaru Shida. Seeing parallels in Billington's career to hers, Bull wants to prove to the modern audience that she is not only better than today's athlete, but should be regarded as the greatest of all time.

Brooklyn Brawler v. Barry Horowitz
Special guest referee: Harvey Wippleman

*Loser of the match loses his wrestling license and is barred from competing*

After years and years of tolerated failure, and at the urging of many other promotions, Branimal84 has taken it upon himself to bring back some dignity to the sport. Not everyone should be allowed to wrestle with impunity! That's why these two life-long losers should finally be forced to win. Yes, we all know Barry had that win against Bodydonna Skip and we all know that the man rips in The Brooklyn Brawler's shirt were from The Undertaker begging for mercy (his words), but we're a long way from 1995, folks. And to make sure it's called down the middle, we need one of the sport's most miserable failures in Harvey Wippleman to also bring some integrity to his profession.

*Special Attraction Tag Team Match*
No Holds Barred
Wrath and Mortis (with James Mitchell) v. Bruce Hart and Jason The Terrible

*If Bruce Hart wins, he retains his soul. However, if he loses, his soul will become the property of the SINISTER MINISTER*

Down in the dumps and regretful of his time spent on the outside looking in, Bruce Hart, on a whim, told a colleague backstage following the 32nd unsuccessful relaunch of Stampede Wrestling, that he would sell his soul for a modicum of success in a promotion he didn't book. Overheard from within the men's room handicap stall, James Mitchell offered a pen and paper, assuring Bruce that his dealings with the Dark Lord permitted him to make such promises. Only after signing, did Mitchell reveal that Bruce will compete in main events and main events only from now on - but strictly on hell tours in the fridged Canadian North.

Bruce, with no recourse, began appearing at these shows, but with one goal - to kill the towns. To produce matches so bad that not even these entertainment-starved communities would want James Mitchell and his wrestling side show back.

Mitchell, with his back against the wall, agreed to release Bruce from his contract and save his promotion, but only if he could defeat two of his most prized pupils, Wrath and Mortis. Bruce could even pick his own partner. But should he lose, he must return to these towns, make it right, and continue wrestling "until the wheels fall off".

Left with little choice in a partner given all the bridges he's burned, Bruce reaches into the past and calls upon an ally so dangerous, he expects to strike fear into the hearts of Mitchell's minions, JASON THE TERRIBLE.

Special Triple Threat Cruiserweight Match

Dante Martin v. Psichosis v. Tony Mamaluke (with Paul Heyman)

Looking at the current success of the gravity defying Dante Martin and the past success of one of Mexico's finest exports in Psicosis, ECW alumni and former F.B.I. member Tony Mamaluke vows to take action into his own hands. Unable to get a footing on success, Tony believes that the only way to stand out as a high-flying luchador, is to take the legs out from under his competition. Literally. Not only does Tony vow to win this special challenge match, but he fully intends to break the legs of his opponents.

Timothy Thatcher v. Ricochet
FIGHT PIT

Thatcher with his "thatch as thatch can" style, aims to ground the death-defying antics of Ricochet inside one of the industry's most punishing - and limiting - matches, THE FIGHT PIT. Unafraid of his tormentor's threats, Ricochet fully intends to explore the possibilities of what someone as fearless as Riccochet can accomplish deep inside the claustrophobic confines of Thatcher's den. But all Thatcher needs is just one mistake - one opening - and if he can grab an arm or ankle, he can bring any man to tears.

Jason Jordan and Chad Gable v. Rhett Titus and Tracey Williams
*2 out of 3 Falls*

Every good wrestling show needs an electric opener - one that sets the pace for the rest of the night. And what is better than a match between two teams made up of pure-bred workhorses like American Alpha and The Foundation? No gimmicks are needed here. Just a straight up, balls to the wall wrestling match with two teams looking to outperform the other.

Tag Team match
The Pitbulls, Jamie Noble & Kid Kash vs
The American Wolves, Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards

The Pitbulls have had the numbers of the American Wolves for weeks on NACW TV. They have gone 0/11 over the past number of few weeks against Noble and Kash, getting closer and closer each time only to be thwarted by the dastardly Pitbulls.
The American Wolves have a monkey on their backs and that monkey is a pair of Pitbulls. Edwards and Richards have thrown down one last challenge against their opponents. If the Wolves win, Noble and Kash must attend obedience training classes with NACW President, Tim Storm. If the Pitbulls win, Edwards and Richards must eat a 4-course meal of dog foods.
The pressure is on. Will the Wolves be able to send the Pitbulls to class? Or will the Wolves’ mouths be watering as the dinner bell rings?

Singles match
“Hollywood” Bob Holly (w/ Alexandra York) vs
Charlie Haas
Bob Holly has been making a name for himself in the NACW. A flamboyant appearance has served him well in having his opponents let their guards down, only to be brutalized by a capable, smashmouth pro wrestler. Holly has been preaching to the NACW fans what pro wrestling is. “It’s nothin’ fancy! You smash ‘em and bash ‘em and move on to the next!”
Holly has been an outspoken critic of the current NACW Pure champion Shelton Benjamin. Calling his wrestling needlessly fancy and repeatedly asking Benjamin who he’s trying to impress. Holly believes he is the perfect wrestler to carry the Pure championship, as he views himself as the purest form of pro wrestler there is. A guy who will beat you down and get the W, with no care for if the fans enjoy themselves.
Charlie Haas has rushed to the aid of his former tag partner and close friend. Taking exception to the disrespect Holly shows Benjamin, the Pure championship, NACW and the great NACW fans. “If it weren’t for these fans you wouldn’t have a Pure championship to challenge for!”
Now with Alexandra York and the York Foundation, and all the money that comes with them, Holly looks primed to rocket up the card. Will Holly defeat Haas and move onto the Pure championship? Or will Holly find himself in a Haas Of Pain?

Tag Team match
NACW President Tim Storm & “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes (w/ Mark Briscoe) vs
“Cute Boy” Matt Bentley & 9-1-1 (w/ Francine)

Following the financial collapse of NACW when running under former management, the Board of Directors have brought in Tim Storm to act as President and right the ship. Tim Storm’s first order of business has been to sign a star. Shawn Michaels, following his recent departure from the WWF, seemed like the perfect pick to scoop up. Unfortunately, Michaels has come with a lot of baggage outside of his high asking price. Michales and his friends have made NACW a living hell for those backstage.
Tim Storm has found it harder and harder to control Shawn Michael’s increasingly erratic behavior. He has tried everything short of suspending or firing Michaels, as the Board of Directors refuses to go without their potential star. Keeping Michaels and the Board happy has been no easy feat, as other areas of the promotion are being neglected. Young stars on the rise have long left and NACW is quickly gaining the reputation of being a joke and bad place to work.
Michaels and his gang had taken apart the arts and crafts made by Tim Storm’s young son, in Storm’s office. Michaels was using a Father’s Day Love coupon book to fashion nasal straws from, as well as using finger paintings as napkins and tissue. Storm had had enough. He has hired “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes as VP of talent relations to crack down on Michaels, which has resulted in petty retaliations such as slashed tires, graffiti, and endless prank calls. One particularly nasty prank call of Shawn pretending to be a doctor with bad news regarding Mama Storm, was traced to Matt Bentley’s phone. With Michaels refusing to admit his wrongdoings, Storm plans to teach Bentley a lesson. That lesson? Get better friends or you’re left holding the bag.
If Storm and Rhodes win, we will see Francine, Bentley and 911’s contracts terminated, leaving Michaels all alone to fend for himself. Michaels’ rival, Jay Briscoe, has sent Mark Briscoe to be in the corner of Tim Storm and Dustin Rhodes, to level the field.

Singles match – Jr. Heavyweight Championship
Austin Aries (C) vs
Darby Allin

Austin Aries has held onto the Jr. Heavyweight Championship since the “reboot” of NACW. Aries has taken on all comers who are steadfast in their goal to silence him, but none have been able to overcome the raw talent and ability of the controversial wrestler. It also helps that Aries was able to hold the belt longer than many felt he would have, due to citing his seemingly disingenuous claims of being fearful of COVID. President Storm has attempted to strip Aries of the title several times, only for Aries’ lawyers to overturn them.
Aries continues to refuse to give consent for a title defense on the ground of safety, only to have his fears doubted by new signee Darby Allin. Allin has let Aries know that he has given consent for a match and has gone through all possible COVID protocols to receive a clean bill of health. With no excuses or anywhere left to turn, Aries must accept the challenge.
Aries does not want to just beat Allin, he wants to embarrass him for his hubris. “At S.O.S. Call the Fire Brigade, I will no longer be responsible for your health and safety” he told Allin.
Last week on NACW Live! Darby assaulted Aries in the ring, giving Aries a Coffin Drop through a table. Will that be the scene at S.O.S. Call the Fire Brigade? Or will Aries stand tall after one too many risks from Allin?

Last Man Standing – Singles match
“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) vs
Tetsuya Naito (w/ Ted DiBiase Jr.)

With Naito spending most of his time in Japan, he has lost touch on the day-to-day business of Los Ingobernables in Mexico. With the popularity of pro wrestling being down following the financial collapse of once-prominent North American Championship Wrestling, business was being hurt South of the boarder in AAA as well. With less money being made wrestling, Los Ingobernables began selling off pieces of their organization. A sizable piece was purchased by none other than Ted DiBiase, the Million Dollar Man himself.
With a much-needed injection of funds into the faction, it’s members are excited to get back to wrestling, hoping to get in on the “reboot” of NACW. “Oh you thought you would be wrestling for me? I’ll tell you what, I happen to have a lot of seasonal residences, especially a large “casa” in Meheeco. You do a good job cleaning that up, I’ll see what I can do about wrestling.”
DiBiase put the members of Los Ingobernables to work. Long days, no rest day and a salary below minimum wage has greatly thinned the numbers of the faction, and has left those who remain in a sorry state. On a rare rain day for the team, their old partner and leader Naito arrived for a visit, but was quickly annoyed at the lack of energy his friends had. For days he watched his friends be worked like dogs by DiBiase, unable to take breaks and goof off with Naito. Naito demanded DiBiase release his friends from The Million Dollar Man’s employ, but DiBiase refused. Instead offering Naito to buy the faction, for a cool $1,000,000. Naito’s answer to this? He spit in DiBiase’s face and stormed off, enraging DiBiase.
On an episode of NACW Live! last month, DiBiase brought Naito’s friends Bushi and El Terrible to the ring. “These two ingrates were found taking a long lunch when they had strict expectations to meet. Time to pay the piper. And Naito, I hope you’re watching!” DiBiase and Virgil gave each Bushi and El Terrible a public beating that mostly comprised of strapping both men with his designer belt.
The following weeks on NACW Live!, Naito returned the favor, sending in a tape from Japan. The tape held footage of Naito corrupting none other than Ted DiBiase Jr. Naito took Ted Jr on a few nights of heavy drinking and heavy eating, then showed footage of DiBiase Jr in an inebriated state, in full Oshiroi make-up, while goofing off and playing X-Box with Naito. “My son now” said Naito to the camera, before smashing his X-box controller over the head of Ted Jr, busting him open and launching a full scale beating that Ted Sr could not finish watching.
What has started as a disagreement has grown into a full-scale blood feud. Will Naito be able to rescue his friends, or will he be bought and sold like the others by Ted DiBiase!? Will DiBiase be able to stay focused with his son in Naito’s corner, now corrupted? Call the Fire Brigade to find out!

Singles match – NACW Pure Championship
Shelton Benjamin (C) vs
Nigel McGuinness
Special guest enforcer: Junk Yard Dog

President Tim Storm has decided to try some new things in order to get NACW back to prominence. This includes the creation of a back-to-basics division known as the Pure division. Matches have a 20-minute time limit and cannot have stipulations added. There must be a handshake before and after the match and the belt is to be defended no less than once a month. All matches for this belt must be televised.
Shelton Benjamin was the man who won the tournament to become the first ever NACW Pure Champion, defeating his partner Charlie Haas in a respectful classic. Benjamin has not shied away from defending his title against any and all comers.
Enter Nigel McGuinness, who offered to manage Benjamin as he could see the pitfalls he himself fell into previously in McGuinness’ career. He has had spirited debates with Benjamin, about how it is not the fans who matter but the belt and the division itself. Benjamin blew off this advice and said he is a fighting champion who will not back down from any challengers.
During Shelton’s last defense of the Pure Championship against Davey Richards on an episode of NACW Live!, Nigel McGuinness had the audacity to interfere. This is frowned on by both the NACW organization and the great fans of NACW, who view the Pure Championship as it’s own division with clearly defined rules and regulations written around mutual respect.
“If you all love Shelton then you should be cheering me for what I did! It was you people, the very same people, who pushed me into nearly ruining my career by defending titles and throwing everything I had into matches, all for YOUR enjoyment! Shelton Benjamin will be in the same spot I was unless I stop him now!”
“Didn’t you hear, Nigel?”
asked Benajmin. “There ain’t no stopping me!” Benjamin faces his fiercest competition yet in accomplished and dangerous wrestler Nigel McGuinness. But Benjamin must have his head on a swivel given his last defense ended in a disqualification after interference. And knowing Bob Holly and the York Foundation have eyes on gold in NACW, he’ll have to have eyes in the back of his head.
Because of the previous interference, President Storm has decided to give the local New Orleans fans a treat by making local hero Junk Yard Dog the special guest enforcer!
Who will be crowned the Purest professional wrestler in NACW? Find out at S.O.S. Call the Fire Brigade!

Tag Team match – NACW World Tag Team Championship
Strike Force (Rick Martel & Tito Santana) vs
“Stroke Force” Dolph Ziggler & Jeff Jarrett (w/ Alexandra York)

Ever since Rick Martel had a change of heart and teamed with good friend Tito Santana, their tag team Strike Force has been flying high in NACW. They have delighted fans with thrilling matches while also being stand-up guys. Alexandra York returned from her extended vacation after Hearts on Fire and immediately took notice of the charismatic team.
York offered Strike Force a handsome deal to join her Foundation, a group she has big plans for in NACW. After flirting with and trying to honeypot Martel, it was his good friend Tito who helped him snap out of it and say no to the she-devil. Dejected and without a top tag team, York gave a call to her old flame Dolph Ziggler.
During an exhibition tag match between Strike Force and the Pitbulls, Dolph made his presence known on commentary with York. As Strike Force looked primed for a victory, Ziggler climbed the apron to distract Tito and the referee as York teased Martel, which opened the door for none other than new signee Jeff Jarrett to come out of nowhere and slam a guitar over Martel’s head. It was Strike Force’s first loss in NACW.
Jarrett: “That’s right tonight Rick, you got to sample my newest hit titled “I just got a guitar bashed over my head for being a stupid son of a bitch!” You need to understand Martel that when you’re with the York Foundation, you get the money. And when you get the money, what do you get Dolph?”
Dolph: “You get the power, JJ. You get the clout, the sway. You get…the stroke!”
With newly formed Stroke Force, do Tito and Martel have what it takes to overcome the power of money and greed? Or will the York Foundation get one step closer to domination of NACW?!

Singles match – NACW World Heavyweight Championship
Shawn Michaels (c) w/ Francine and 911 vs
Jay Briscoe w/ Mark Briscoe

It has been trying times for NACW. Ever since the departure of it’s champion a year ago and a large drop in ratings, the wrestling industry has been struggling. The NACW Board of Directors needed someone new to take over the reigns and try to steer the promotion back to former glory. The stern principal of wrestling, Tim Storm, seemed like the right man for the job. He was warm, no-nonsense and cheap but with the ability to back up his words in the ring if he had to.
Storm was scouting for new wrestlers to be on top when he ran into a down on his luck Shawn Michaels. Michaels, who was previously WWF Champion in New York, had rashly given his walking papers when someone else became more popular than him, and the Heart Break Kid regretted it. Taking pity on Michaels, and knowing he is one of the best technically gifted athletes in wrestling, Storm took a chance on Shawn. Shawn began to thrive under Storm and NACW to the point of receiving a nice bonus
Shortly thereafter Michaels started inviting his friends to shows. Namely his new girlfriend, Francine and his protégé, the “cute boi” as he’s called, Matt Bentley. Bentley is a good kid with stars in his eyes and is largely unaware of Michaels’ tactics being used to keep Bentley under his thumb. Finally, HBK brought in infamous wrestling bodyguard, 911, who Michaels sometimes refers to as “Kev” during particularly wild nights.
Being a big fish in a small pond has suited Michaels well. He is the clear best that NACW has to offer, and that was partly due to pulling pranks and schemes on other wrestlers. From encouraging guys to take much-needed naps only to rat them out as sleeping on the job, to having Francine leave suggestive voicemails on their machines back home, Michaels has been a terror for those he may have some trouble defeating. One wrestler, who shall remain nameless for legal reasons, may have been drugged with LSD spiking their water bottle. These things cannot be proven or held against Michaels, as 911, Bentley and Francine are often serving as his personal eye-witnesses for his alibis and whereabouts. President Tim Storm has been at his wit’s end, as his heartfelt talks and lectures have clearly fallen on deaf ears. Tim Storm has learned that no good deed goes unpunished.
Unfortunately for Micahels, a new man has arrived to challenge him for the NACW World Heavyweight Championship. One a little rougher than Michaels, a little dirtier than Michaels. A man who cannot be tricked out of competition with the Jr. High tactics of the Heart Break Kid; Jay Briscoe! Jay has had enough of the “Pretty Petty Primadonna” as he calls him. One night when Jay invited Michaels to fight him at the Briscoe Family farm, Michaels showed up in a rental car with 911, Bentley and Francine instead of coming alone, throwing tomatoes at the Briscoes and laughing. The smiles on Michaels’ and his posse’s faces were quickly wiped off when Jay simply got in his pickup and drove after the miscreants resulting in a dangerous chase.
Michaels has been a shell of his former self, paranoid and looking over his shoulder for Jay Briscoe, the man with no fear for this “kliq”. Michaels has demanded Jay Briscoe be fired due to HR violations and creating an unsafe workplace, only for Briscoe to reveal the footage from his Go-Pros he has set up to monitor deer. Michaels was seen as the aggressor and with nowhere to run, he must face Jay Briscoe. Storm and NACW have already threatened Michaels and his friends with legal action should he fail to show up or come up with any more excuses.

Shawn: “Jay Briscoe! You think you have the Heart Break Kid scared do ya? Well I DON’T THINK SO. You have created a caged animal who will take you down, Jay. I tried to do you a favor by having the match called off, Jay. It wasn’t for my sake, it was for yours! And when my protégé the Cute Boi pins President Limpdick Storm at the PPV, I’m going to have my whole gang with me!”
Bentley: “And then I get a shot at the belt right Shawn?”
Shawn: “Sure, Matt. Yes that’s right.”
Jay: “SHAWN MICHAELS! Your time is up, boy. And no amount of prayin’, whinin’, cryin’ or schemin’ is gon’ get you out of it. And if that discount Diesel 911 or that bankrupt hoe Francine try anything, my brother Mark will be having them dancing to the calls of SOOOOOOIEEEEEE! Farmin’ is what we do and we gon’ round all you pigs up in the pen, I promise you that, boys.”
Mark: “S.O.S. Call the Fire Brigade! New Orleans! Briscoes and the Kliq! It’s gon’ be straight FIRE boys that’s why they want us to call the damn brigade. Well, Shawn, the Briscoe brigade is comin’ to put you out, boy!”

Who will walk out of NACW S.O.S. Call the Fire Brigade as the World Heavyweight Champion? Will harmony be restored? Or will Shawn Michaels continue his reign of terrible unprofessionalism and drive NACW under?
