Really like this pick, especially where we got him at 24.
 
Hard to argue with the value at 24, just really expecting a defenseman haha.

Kinda reminiscent of 2012.

Mark dropped him due to what appear to be possible character issues.

Really talented but I have concerns about that.....hope people are wrong? Perhaps our Fin friends can expand?

Great value pick. He's gonna have his work cut out for him to make our top 9 on the wings.
 
He's Jets type player.
He was 15th? on sir Bobs list.

Should be atleast top9 powerforward, potential for much much better but he has his risks.

Yeah I heard that too. Some reports he was lackadaisical in interviews and seemed uninterested. Means nothing as he could have been trying to influence his pick.
 
Good value pick, BPA at 24. At 13 we had the pick of the litter for defence though so I am a bit salty about that..
 
I am not going to take out my disappointment of us trading down on the prospect. Wishing him all the luck. Marc Edwards was less than complementary about his character and his ability to play against players in higher leagues but if he can play who cares about the character.
 
Nothing wrong with the pick but a centre like suzuki would've been a nice pick

I don't know the kid but I do remember some hand wringing about laine's past and his draft night interview.

I'll reserve judgement since the Jets are huge into character.

Anyone else notice the Jets changed up their jersey for our pick.

They were alternating white and dark every year with white in the odd numbered years.
 
His character issues are exaggerated and he's a steal IMO. Really a top 10 guy. Laine was supposed to have character issues as well and that wasn't true at all.
