Personally, I'm torn. Obviously, as a Canadian I want Canada in the finals, but I like the prospect of facing USA as much as I like the prospect of facing Russia. I think I'll have to go with RUS-CAN so we can avenge the championship in Quebec a few years ago.

I think Russia has a chance. If they can get Canada into "lets see who will score more" game.

Canada will be favorite in that too, but I don't think Russia has even a slight chance if they play - defense first.

And if somehow Czechs will beat Canada, I will gladly watch them vs Russia. ;)
 
I'm HUGE fan of team Canada and I'd love to see how they would crush Russia (hopefully) but I can't cheer against Czech republic. That's not possible, I'd never do that. I believe we can win against Canada. There is a chance a very, very slim chance but it is there.

That means Czech republic vs Russia is the answer for me. Since there is a big rivalry between us BUT the possibility of losing against Russia when WHC is hosted here, it scares me. It would be unacceptable for most of us, in Czech republic. :laugh:

or CAN-RUS obviously, CAN-USA is also intriguing but not with the current USA roster, I guess.
 
Canada vs Russia please, i would watch that game (would be my first time watching the WC since Crosby last played in it). Crosby vs Malkin.
 
I like Canada - Russia, BUT I'd love to see those Yankee schoolboys ( seriously, Larkin and Eichel are still in college and virtually the whole team is quite young ) upset CCCP...Plus our boyz would clobber Yanks in final, so it's WIN/WIN

As a Canada fan I'd rather the opportunity to face Russia. CAN-USA would be great, but there's something special about facing Russia, in Europe, on the big ice.

I would love to see the Czechs winning so either CZE-USA or CZE-RUS, but there is this stumbling block called Canada...
 
Canadian team has played very well, and they have very good players, so I think Canada will be one team in the finals. Battle between two superpowers, USA and the former USSR, will be a close one, but this time the Russians will be victorious. So the sundays finallys it's the classic Canada-Russia. The result we shall see on sunday :)

Your soldiers left in 1990 so thats already half of this period. You can not be surprised that a lot of people would have more sympathy for Canada than for Russia. "Brothers" treat themselfs bit differently....

You better delete this comment.....This exactly the reason why you guys are not so popular here even if your TV is probably telling you diff. story....But thats politics and this hockey forum....
