whats the gist
Skimmed through it and all his points are solid. But I want Carlyle fired too so I'm a bit biased.
Besides the obvious playing of Holzer over someone like Gardiner, why do you want Carlyle fired?
Feels like he's trying to force this team into something that its not rather than building on our strengths and improving our deficiencies.

"Can anyone stop Randy Carlyle from ruining the Maple Leafs?"
Well that's about as much of this article that I'll be reading.
Or RC could be wrong, nothing new around heteI'm not sure that I agree with the theory that if Kadri scores x goals with x minutes, then more minutes = more goals. By that logic shouldn't Sidney Crosby play 60 minutes a game? Of course not.
Maybe Kadri is more effective with fewer minutes because he needs his minutes to be very high energy ones (and he isn't as super-conditioned as some of the players that play 20+ min a night). Maybe Carlyle is right about this.

Yeah I have a tough time with the philosophy that If a player produces at this rate with this many minutes that he will produce more with more minutes. This theory has been debunked on many ocassions. Vertseeg is the most immediate player that comes to mind.
Kadri is getting around 15 minutes a night and they are sheltered minutes. He is playing a role where he is put in a position to succeed. He is not eating up penalty minutes, he is not eating up defensive responsbility minutes. He is getting 15 quality mintues a night. it's a ridiculous, ignorant thought to believe otherwise.
Don't worry, despite the article the top rated comments actually had some intelligence in them. You're not the only one who sees through this sham of an article.
Lambert does make some true points, but I don't see how Carlyle is a bad coach.
He's miles ahead of Ronnie boy and I think he will be good for this team.
You don't have the 2nd most playoff wins as a coach since 2005 (as well as a Stanley Cup to boot) by being an idiot and getting lucky.
