Dolan sucks!!!
I remember EF reported the Kings were looking for a veteran bottom six forward for Kaliyev last winter.
Chychurn tanked the two bottom feeding teams he has played on? Weird take. Please not Chychrun. Guy tanks every team he's on. Blake likes him though.
King's could also be looking at a forward. Maybe a young forward that just needs some ice time to break out.
Maybe just a 3rd round pick.
Not to the Kings who need big defenseman and not tiny little onesThis will be something around Brannstrom for Kaliyev. Makes way too much sense.
Kastellic maybe?I remember EF reported the Kings were looking for a veteran bottom six forward for Kaliyev last winter.

Pinto, Greig and Norris isn’t enough for you?Ottawa needs a young Phil Danault, not Kaliyev. They have plenty of forwards who can score and need to be sheltered defensively already.
3 guys who can play a 2 way game (none of these are shutdown guys) to a certain extent? No, that's not anywhere close to enough. Heck Greig is the only one of the 3 who is above average in terms of either GA/60 or HDSCA/60. It's partly a product of who they've played with, but it's still a fact.Pinto, Greig and Norris isn’t enough for you?
They need a structured defence and consistent goaltending. The forward depth is quite good already.
Gotcha, they need one more young two way centre, then they’re set. I’m so glad you’re not a GM.3 guys who can play a 2 way game (none of these are shutdown guys) to a certain extent? No, that's not anywhere close to enough.
I don't think they need anymore youth. They need a veteran line that can do the heavy lifting. They have plenty of young talent. They need a line like Coleman, Danault, Lizotte. That type of thing.Gotcha, they need one more young two way centre, then they’re set. I’m so glad you’re not a GM.
Spence should not be going anywhere and next years first is the one I would be willing to moveSpence, Kaliyev, and your first for Chychrun and Bos' first?
looking to get youngerWelcome to LA Claude Giroux!
2nd that, he's borderline player and would rather wait for a 2nd or better offer. Don't think he would be a healthy scratch most nights. Not to the Kings who need big defenseman and not tiny little ones
I would be fine with this as long as Roy's contract is reasonableSign and trade with Roy, Packaged with Lizotte and Kaliyev for Chychrun
I would be fine with this as long as Roy's contract is reasonable
Also I would rather look at Kleven or maybe a swap for Jarventie , something along those lines2nd that, he's borderline player and would rather wait for a 2nd or better offer. I think he would be a healthy scratch most nights.
why would Roy sign a reasonable contract for Ottawa when he's a week from UFA
A sign and trade really only has value at this stage if they want an 8th year, makes no sense in this context. That trade is basically Lizotte and Kaliyev for Chychrun which is really bad.
Makes a lot of sense when his value is at a low point, and he was part of the 2018 Hamilton Bulldogs championship. Andlauer and Staios know him well. Worth taking a shot when the cost and risk are low.Seems like an odd target for Ottawa but I wouldn’t hate it if the price was right.
Kleven is not available, and especially not for Kaliyev. I doubt we would offer more than a replacement level depth player and/or a 4th/5. If thats not enough… fine. He’s not close to a priorityAlso I would rather look at Kleven or maybe a swap for Jarventie , something along those lines
There’s absolutely no world where Pinto would be traded for Kaliyev. This is a buy low trade or swap of players for new opportunities. Pinto does not fit that descriptionNon ottawa fan but will say this.
Pinto is most likely going absolutely nowhere without anything short of a massive overpayment. The guy is tracking along very similar lines as JT MIller did at the same age, but with better overall production. Which can be attributed to his deployment, but it is still similar
He's bigger and a right shooting centre to to add in while still being somewhat cost controlled.
If all it took to get Pinto was a Kaliyev every team in the league would have been kicking down the door in Ottawa throwing their 2nd and 3rd line cast offs at them for a chance at a swap
