Big pass on Tanner Glass

I'm thinking maybe trade Brassard for Chris Neil and a pair of 2nds? Ofcourse if we can't sign an UFA center, nvm. Always liked Neil's game and that should help us with some cap and to relinquish some important draft picks.

Would ottawa bite? Would we want to break up brass and zucc? I think mats its the driving force on that line.

Ribeiro bought out. I think a two year deal would be nice. He seems like a perfect center for Nash. edit: I'm thinking something reasonable like 2 years $3M per. Just an idea. Not sure who else is out there that won't shoot us in the salary cap knee cap.

Ribiero is a disaster. Look how many teams he's been on.

The Rangers biggest strength is their unity. Ribiero will be worse than Avery.

Not to mention that Maloney said the reason for the buyout is behavioral issues. Ribiero will be nowhere near a Ranger locker room.

“@DarrenDreger: Hearing Kesler to Anaheim is done. Awaiting details...â€

“@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Anaheim will trade Bonino, Sbisa plus 24th overall pick and teams will swap third-rounders once deal goes throughâ€

Good deal for Anaheim.

I don't know that Kesler's that much of an impact player anymore. He's still good, but he's not going to put up crazy numbers like he did in 2010-11.

I agree, his style of play has taken a toll on him immensely. He is far from the guy that potted 40 a few years ago but he still shows flashes; maybe this change of scenery makes a big difference because he was not happy playing in Vancouver for a while

So apparently Chicago is trying to clear space for Stastny?

Dumb, but I hope they do. I want nothing to do with him.

How would that even work given that they have to pay both Toews and Kane? If they want Stastny then you'd think they have to amnesty Hossa.

i know he's up there in age, but i've always dreamed of having 'the other Hossa' ;) on this team. they would probably also have to trade someone of note, as well, you'd think. they're over the cap right now.

It's Murray's problem for giving him a NTC.

I'm all for players' rights to negotiate for a NTC, but I wish there was a clause that changed the restrictions if the player is the one who demands to be traded.

I'm more surprised that Mike Fisher couldn't sell him on the team and the city.
