Go look at some stats. Then aggregate those stats by taking our horrid start and putting them in with the average.

Maybe not better, but certainly on par with. And certianly playing better then that hot garbage I just watched the past two games.

Fans are in awe because they are watching tremendous chances and goals. They will be sorely disappointed in the Final because we are not going to give up nearly a third of the chances these teams are giving up every night. We will be fast and control the gap. Neither of these teams do that at all. These games were a joke. Fun as hell to watch

Like how they were in awe with FLyers offensive outburst against the Penguins in the playoffs 2 years ago.

As a Devils fan, you should really learn to respect defense a little more. Just because two teams that completely ignore defense in the 3rd period play an extremely exciting game, doesn't mean that the ECF was AHL hockey. Extremely laughable.

The Rangers of last night beat either of those teams tonight.

You really think the Kings or Blackhawks would put up 18 shots against the Rangers in an elimination game? The conferences are not even comparable. My team was complete utter garbage this season and managed to finish 5 points out of a playoff spot. We're probably a bottom 4 team if we played in the West. No doubt in my mind.

Sorry but it just pisses me off when fans are shaking in their boots when the Kings were up 3-1, and after losing two close games to the defending champs, you get BS like Quick is overrated, Doughty's overrated, Carters overrated and the Kings aren't good defensively.

The rangers blue line is deeper than the hawks. No doubt. Kings' team defense is better though.

Those guys are very good, but they are no different from defense that St. Louis threw out there or Anaheims. Your just not getting the over-all talent that the Kings and Chicago have over the Rangers. Its not even comparable. The little forwards of the Rangers will get punished by the much bigger Kings players or the overall skill of Chicago will just skate in circles all night long in your zone.

Of course the Rangers could beat either team, all teams are beatable eventually and the Rangers can play some very good hockey. The question is whether they can do it enough in a 7 game series to overcome one of the two (three tops) best teams in the league?

Chicago's D can be a bit iffy (and Crawford can have a howler now and then), but in a lot of ways they don't care as their philosophy seems to be "we'll score more". If the Rangers score 4, they'll have the belief that they can pot 5.
Likewise, the Kings always think that they can wear you down and then score quickly to take the game away from you.

The Rangers just need to generate their chances and play the type of D that they are capable of and they are in with a big shot.

Regardless, the Rangers are playing for the cup for the first time in 20 years. Enjoy the ride of the next 2 weeks, regardless of the result

Where did i say they would put up 18 shots? Stop putting words in my mouth. I said the Rangers team that played last night beats the two defensive geniuses that played tonight.

I have no idea what will happen in the next series. I know the Rangers are underdogs. But Jonesy saying the Rangers should be in awe of tonights game? Yea, they should be in awe, at BOTH teams lack of defensive responsibility. A blown lead by each team in the third period of a potential clinching game. Embarrassing.

Nobody is saying that either the Kings or Hawks would get 18 shots on net, that would be dumb. What we're saying is, if both the Hawks or Kings played as bad defensively against the Rangers as they did tonight they would not have won the game. Please try and keep up it's not that difficult.

In terms of a torrid pace, the ECF appeared slow and sloppy in comparison. Those are arguably the two top teams in the entire NHL. You could make a valid argument that the East only has 3 (rangers, bruins, pens) of the top ten teams in the NHL. It's been down for the last two years.

Little forwards? I mean Kreider and Nash are little and if they play teh hawks defense tehy would probably score at will. The kings are a tough team BUT they are also playign a ton of agmes and starting to wear down. Looking good for teh rangers

Both Chicago and LA will have trouble scoring on Lundqvist if they keep relying on point shots.

Plus the Rangers are excellent at keeping the front clear. Ask those idiots Simmonds and Neal.
