Anyone watching the post game?

The Rangers would be in awe after watching defensive hot garbage? Are they kidding? How could anyone watch that game and think either was a juggernaut unbeatable team.

The game was great the teams weren't big difference.

Dont agree. Also teh ranegsr are betetr defensively and in net. They will alos be much fresher

The question was are the Rangers playing better than either Chicago or LA, and the answer remains no.

Montreal was a fluke. Any Rangers fan who thinks the Rangers will control long stretches of games against either Chicago or LA like they did against Montreal is friggin high on crack.

That doesn't mean the Rangers don't have a chance. It means that two perennial dominant teams beating each other up in a 7-game CF will reveal weaknesses, and the Rangers will have a tough time beating either team.

I'm in awe at how ****** these teams are at defense.

Blackhawks are shoddy on D. True. In the kings defense, the hawks have the most skill in the NHL by a wide margin. The ECF was AHL hockey compared to this pace.

Not sure how Montreal was a fluke but ok. Theya re both good teams BUT im sorry im not in awe of them since they both have weaknesses.

Did that idiot on NBC just say the Rangers should be watching in awe?
loooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

It was a good game.

But that wasn't exactly perfect hockey, far from it. The defense in that game wasn't very good. Nothing to be in awe about there.

I'm not watching the post game but who said that the Rangers should be in awe? Was it Milbury? The only thing this game showed me was that either one of these teams are beatable. They're good, but far from invincible.

Beating Montreal was not a fluke. The Rangers were better, and I would have been disappointed had they not won.

Blackhawks and Kings look pretty good, but no reason to figure that the Rangers cannot give either enough trouble to make it a close series. It is possible.

Love it! Even if the Kings win they will have gone through three series of 7 games, bodes well for us.

Not to mention they'll have to fly cross country to get home after winning that game 7 and only have 2 days to rest/prepare for the Final.

Agreed. Rangers could win if the special teams play lights out and Lundqvist cleans up as usual. But like you said, the Rangers will need to counter and make the most of their opportunities.

It usually doesn't bode well when a team is getting so much hype. So many picking that "great" team to be the "surprise" team. Doesn't always mean that the surprise team wins, but the game and/or series usually a lot closer then what the media/fans thought it would be.

I think we will just try to make the most of either team. The Rangers have no reason to be in awe or afraid of either the Kings or the Hawks.

To be fair either teh kings or hawks are gonna be pretty tired. they ahve both played a lot of games epscially the kings. the rangers have better defense/goaltending of the 2. Also our fast pace style will taka a bigger toll on them since eitehr will be tired. Worked out great for us

As a Devils fan, you should really learn to respect defense a little more. Just because two teams that completely ignore defense in the 3rd period play an extremely exciting game, doesn't mean that the ECF was AHL hockey. Extremely laughable.

The Rangers of last night beat either of those teams tonight.

Rangers have better defense over the two last Cup champs? I know your pumped but lets not get unrealistic!!

Great point. i mean we have beat the hawks this year both times. Lets face it if we can keep Kane and Toews pretty quiet then its a win. teh kings have better defense/goaltending but they are gonna be very tired while teh Rangers are fresher

I knew someone would misinterpret what I wrote. Oh look, another few more hopped on.

I never said beating Montreal was a fluke. I said Montreal was a fluke, meaning them making the CF.

Three or four pages back I specifically wrote "the Rangers are no Cinderella fluke"

Comical.

Fans are in awe because they are watching tremendous chances and goals. They will be sorely disappointed in the Final because we are not going to give up nearly a third of the chances these teams are giving up every night. We will be fast and control the gap. Neither of these teams do that at all. These games were a joke. Fun as hell to watch
