Yeah we’re finishing ahead of them this season
Who‘s goaltending with Levi? I assume they’ll do something on D because if he doesn’t he’ll have actually done nothing…which…man…not getting a legit goalie option and missing again would be bad enough in the court of public opinion. Imagine just running back the whole team and missing.

From the Top 10 Prospects thread. It is stunning how quickly the Sens prospect pool evaporated.

Ottawa is wack. Gonna do this list under the assumption that JBD is graduated. or else he would be 3rd or 4th.

1.Mads Sogaard
2. Ridly Greig
3. Leevi Merilainen
4. Roby Jarventie
5. Zach Ostapchuk
6. Yegor Sokolov
7. Lassi Thomson
8. Kevin Mandolese
9. Tyler Boucher
10. Hoyt Stanley

Love the Stanley pick but theres no way he should be on a teams top 10 this year.. kinda not a great look for the prospect pool.

Yeah. We're neck and neck with them in the short-term, but I think those extra first round picks we've had over the past 3 years are going to accelerate us ahead of them when the cap crunch starts. If we have a few blue chippers (Savoie, Kulich, Benson) hit on even a portion of their potential, they're going to be of great value while producing on their ELCs.

Ottawa also doesn't have a goalie prospect like Levi. I'd put good money on us surpassing them in the next few years.

The Devils, on the other hand, let's hope the Sabres can catch up because if Buffalo does hit their stride, then the Devils are going to be a PITA in our quest for a cup.

I have to think he is asking for crazy money with both Detroit and Boston moving on from him.
Yeah. I'd love him in our top-9, but someone is going to overpay for him.

Seems pretty quiet league-wide for the day before FA. Not even hearing too many rumors, even for where FAs might go.

Perfect, Duchene can take Vic’s spot
Probably sarcasm, but doubtful. For all his warts, at least Vic doesn't have the (alleged) diva rep that has followed Duchene around. He had great production the drain before last though. Doesn't bode all that well for Oloffson's market, though he would be cheaper and only a one year commitment.

Still, pretty surprising that the Preds opted for this, though I guess if they retained they wouldn't have been able to do so soon again in a trade for a while.
