Wish we had a leader that could have had the vision to keep ADA. Now he grows up in Carolina, sigh.

Nah someone’s going to pay out the ass for him.

he’s really good and he knows it.
I was writing out the same thing. He’s behaved himself, and pacing PPG, hopefully he ends up west coast, at least outside our damned division.

Even if one or two teams try to low ball him using his past issues, there will be 5 others willing to pay out for his services with term. Don’t know Carolina’s cap situation but I’m hoping they’re not one of them…

What do you think he’s getting per year? I feel like he likes Carolina.

6+

That’s still a bargain for what he is. he’s virtually a point per game defenseman. Those guys get paid. He may love Carolina, but I’m sure he also loves money and someone is going to be really happy to pay him a ton of it.

let’s be real, if he didn’t have all the off ice history this is a player who is looking at 8-9 this summer.

Leafs win in OT. Canes pick up a point. We fall to second in the division.

JD and Gorton not providing a strong enough leadership core or coaching core was a problem too that gets overlooked. Why was Carolina able to straighten him out? The Rangers had a terrific asset and let him go for free. Bad job. If those two were as good as they were they could’ve fixed him up a bit.

Does DeAngelo become an issue with Hank, Staal or Fast in the locker room? Not a chance

Just an opinion but Tony is/was on his last chance with carolina and he knew it. If he didnt get himself reigned in he was gonna be out of the league. The rangers ultimately saved his career probably but at a cost to the team in asset management. So he has all the motivation in the world to stay out of trouble

Plus its not like Tony was a problem his whole time with the Rangers. This may sound like a joke/political dig but i truly believe the election affected him very negatively which is why he struggled so much and went off the handle around January of last year.

Clearly, he wouldn't have been the only one who didn't take it too well.

Biggest thing for this: Largest audience for 18-49 year olds on cable that day. This is a way to grow the game and get a new audience.
