DeAngelo's loss has been palpable from the second he got booted. We're much worse 5v5 with out him.

Fast was the one that got away. I like what Goodrow provides but Fast is probably just as good and would have been signed for way less money and term

Divisional play doesn't even matter to the metro or in the east for that matter. both WC are going to be metro. It'll be a dog fight. Numbers wise, no team is just dropping dead in the east.

The Leafs look....broken? Marner has no soul left in him. The pressure in Toronto being a Toronto boy with that huge contract is eating him alive. I don't doubt he actually has some mental impediment from the playoff collapses and being targeted by the fans to the point where it's almost PTSD. Tavares might be a tad over the hill. It's questionable. Losing Hyman broke them too. Campbell Hutchinson isn't going to save you if the team falls flat. Maybe it goes FLA TBL BOS in the division then all 5 TOR MTL DET BUF SEN are out. It'll be 8 metro teams vying for 5 spots.
