I don't worry about what may happen 3 years down the road. Drury is well aware of potential issues ahead. They may not be able to sign everybody but that doesn't mean they won't be able to ice a serious contender as every contending team generally has cap concerns when their players want to get paid. Maybe they have to buyout somebody, maybe they can trade Trouba in 2023 as I believe his NTC expires. Who knows?

i worry about it. Seen the Mets drain their budget on Cano type investments. Had Giants fans putting their faith in Gettleman despite the ridiculous investments. Looking at teams like Toronto and others over the years, yeah i worry when trade bait is signed long term and an owner wants to win now.
