All their teams are so bleh they’re trying to win proxy Cups

It’s impossible for the Vancouver Canucks to ever win a Cup. Toronto would blow a playoff series against the Marlies. Edmonton and Calgary are consistently room temperature noodle soup just swapping each other’s players every off-season. Ottawa is convincing themselves “their” Stanley Cup from like 1850 counts, so that sums that up. Winnipeg is the Thrashers.

Christ, this Montreal team probably is/was their best shot.

They would have missed this year if they didn't play in the North. This whole run is fluke city.

They seriously lucked out on the Patioready trade. Suzuki is the real deal. Their defense is gonna need some serious help.
