I remember when half of this board didn't want Panarin. Can't even fathom that world
Happy I wasn't on that half. BUT, I was on the 1/3 that didn't want Trouba. Not even JUST the player, but obviously the term and the buckeroos.
The Marc Staal, Dan Girardi, Kevin Shattenkirk deals that went sour (not Sauer)
Keith Yandle and Strâlman stick in my craw as well.

All defenseman deals that were made and were NOT made.
But, here we are being led by 8mil Trouba. Hope it doesn't turn out to be yet another bad contract, and he HAS played somewhat up to his contract lately, but that is just now, but for how long? Hope I am wrong and will gladly eat crow when warranted.

With such a nice pipeline of dmen, isn't hard to figure out that he could one day BLOCK another and much cheaper player.
On a positive note, seems he has benched his "big slap shot" as it rarely gets through......a quick wrister is MUCH more effective.

And his impact causing them to draft lower, which obviously didn’t happen after two super lucky lotteries.
And the Rangers trying to supplement the rest of the team him with other expensive long term contracts, which has also happened a couple times.

Seriously the Flyers lose like 1-2 Stanley Cup Finals per decade.

1975-76 vs. Montreal Canadiens
1979-80 vs. New York Islanders
1984-85 vs. Edmonton Oilers
1986-87 vs. Edmonton Oilers
1996-97 vs. Detroit Red Wings
2009-10 vs. Chicago Blackhawks

...not to mention Conference Finals losses:

1988-89 vs. Montreal Canadiens
1994-95 vs. New Jersey Devils
1999-00 vs. New Jersey Devils
2003-04 vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
2007-08 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
Honestly, this is really NOT something to chuckle about.
Regardless that they have come up empty way more often than not.......still, all in all that is a successful franchise.
That is a LOT of exciting hockey.
Call a spade a spade, regardless of possible, (no, check that) PROBABLE hatred and possible envy.
Dont we (as Rangers fans) pride ourselves as a successful franchise? 70's.......intermittent......then the Hank era?
The Cup is not easy, not every team has won one, nor competes for one more often than not.

Looks like Brandon Carlo is out long term for the Bruins. Could be concussion related but this helps the Rangers for their playoff push.

1-0 Pens against Bruins keep it up, yea it helps the Rangers if they take care of business tonight in regulation against the Sabres

Watching the penguins... Sullivan would have been perfect. Silly of us to think he would be available.. Amazing job he's done this year

They are a great TEAM. Keyword... Team. They move with a purpose and they all know what to expect/their roles in any given scenario. Might be why we look terrible against them so far this season

5-3 Bruins now in the 2ed period. Great job Penguins. Penguins defense is not that good. We should beat them

Now 5-4 in the 3rd period. Bruins ugh watch this go into OT. Great job Penguins. Still 14;49 left in 3rd

Demko 5 years 25 mil. That should be Shesterkin’s deal. Same age. Same years to if’s status.

very very legit comparison. I’d give him the same deal slightly more if he goes 6 or 7 years but 5 years for a goalie is the smart thing to do

$5.2 for 6 years giving Shesterkin an extra $1.2 for one more year.
