It’s definitely a coping mechanism because they dont have him. I’m willing to bet every single fan of every single team would gladly take him. Pure Cope.

The nice thing is his uptick in play (read: he's putting up some points to finally reflect his play) dramatically and almost instantaneously cuts down on the shitposters that just run in flood threads saying he's a bust.

The stupidity of declaring a 19-year-old who is only 20 games into his rookie season a bust is just too much.

If there ever was a team that should be flying in Gallant its the Sabres and they should do it yesterday, let him bring all his staff in and clean house.

After Ruff got fired it's been a bunch of guys who haven't gotten head coaching jobs again like Nolan, Rolston, Bylsma, and Housley. Last night the Sabres played like they've quit on Kruger and the Rangers should have beaten then by more than 1 goal if they didn't have their own issues. How is healthy scratching Skinner for three games going to help him start scoring some goals and when he does dress he doesn't play with Eichel who he scored 40 goals with. The team is 28th in the league in goals scored.
 
Edmonton hasn’t scored in 7+ periods, all against Toronto. Shut out 4-0 on the 27th. Shutout 3-0 on the 1st. Trailing 3-0 midway through the 2nd.
