Wow, Lias has been terrible for Los Angeles.
Of all players with at least 50 mins played, he is dead last in CF%, GF%, and xGF%; while being 3rd in ozone start %.

Even with how he turned out for us, I wouldn't want a re-do of the 2017 first round. I'll take Chytil + Cuylle and run, thank you.
Really sucks that we didn't take someone like Suzuki. Would have really helped the center issues we are going to have soon.

I'm SO SO sick of getting gritty or swiss army knife guys like McIlrath in the top 10. I won't shit on them if Kravtsov doesn't pan out, that's the type of guy you draft. Not Mr. Swiss Army Knife or Mr. goon that might learn how to skate. How do teams still make these mistakes?
yeah , it think most of use were on board with Krav. He was the prototypical high ceiling, boom or bust guy we've been clamoring for. At the time we had no Panarin, no Kakko, no Lafreniere. Farabee seeming like another JT Miller type pick at the time, we desperately needed high end skill

Or Vilardi or Mittelstadt even. But here we sit. It isn't like we missed out on any guy that came immediately hot out of the gate, at least; that would sting quite a bit more.

Hopefully when Chytil gets back and pushes Howden back to 4C, our centres can stay healthy for the rest of the year. Feels precarious at best, though.

I don’t think the mistakes are necessarily in the picks themselves, I think they are more in organizational philosophy, which in my opinion is worse. The Rangers also seem to target their guy and it looks like they tend to ignore how the drafts themselves unfold.

I am in no way defending that 2010 draft. I hated it from the very second they made that pick. But the pick would have hurt much less had Tarasenko and Fowler not been available like most mocks suggested would be the case.

It felt like they just never considered the possibility that those two would fall to them, fell in love with “their guy”, and then failed to adjust. 2017 was the same but in reverse.

They couldn’t get their guy despite trying really hard and then didn’t have a backup plan. It really felt that way.

i feel like the Rangers never get the faller. But they always reach.

So nhl.tv just lowered the price of the all-access package to less than what I paid for single team access. This apparently disqualifies me from upgrading to all access. WTF?

The Rangers fell in love with the north-south two-way forward with Dubinsky and Callahan. That’s fine and all but, as we’ve seen, you don’t win championships with those guys alone.

Zucc PPG after 3 games (hand surgery recovery) 1 beautiful goal, and hopefully a hot streak; got a tiny Unibet on Wilds later tonight vs fishes. ;)
