I looked at Oshie's career stats and I'm surprised they're not better. I would have thought he'd hit 70 points at some point but he seems to get injured a lot.

He’s always been one of the most overrated players in the league. Maybe not as much on this board, but within hockey culture more broadly.

Doing a little stat surfing in my spare time today. Thought this was interesting. Difference in Goal Differential between best and worst team by division:

North (Toronto-Ottawa): 55
Central (Carolina-Detroit): 44
East (Boston-Buffalo): 19
West (Colorado-Anaheim): 31

I hate our division.

This is a pretty telling stat.

Kravtsov would still have been available lol so would have made no difference. Also Krav can still end up being a solid player. Lias over <insert superior center> will haunt us more

Very much possible but not a guarantee. Think TSN had him ranked 10-12

Anyway, none of this will matter if Kravtsov pans out. But I have my doubts

I mean, that was the whole point of picking 1 and 2. Consensus picks that are impossible to f*** up. Many of us needed to be talked off the ledge by those ITK because we were afraid, in Kakko’s case at least, that they were going to try to pull some smartest guys in the room shit.

I absolutely love Farabee and did during that draft as well. It was clear to me that he was the motor on that line, and I am just partial to that kind of player. That said, I never expected him to be a PPG player, especially not this soon, and was more than happy to have Kravtsov’s upside. The jury is still very much out on that pick.

Definitely the former but even last year in the bubble playoffs their forward lineup is not scaring anyone.
