You would think all the players would have left the ice immediately if McDavid/Nurse/RNH tested positive.
That's true just can't find anything online about what could have happened. Doesn't look like there was an altercation with the coach. Obviously it's not a trade lol

like the Spano guy with the Isles. NHL is so desperate to get a buyer they'll take any old clown who claims to have money
If this is entry two to the 30-for-30 series, I cannot wait for the remaining 30 episodes for the other teams. Rangers gonna be juicy, maybe.

As I said in the main boards thread on Arizona, fold the franchise and have an auction for the players

Highest bidder gets the player

So the teams coming back from long layoff like the wild and Sabres getting slapped around and putting up Zero goals oh except for the the team that played against us.

Well, Colorado just went 1-1 against Vegas while missing 3 of their top-4 defensmen and their captain.

That's still no excuse for toninghts effort by the Rangers.

I’d go to Salt Lake City before Houston, you have a large economy and highly engaged tech culture there. They can absorb another sports team IMO. 2002 was a good showing.

Houston will flop. Devils within the details boys, population size doesn’t matter as much as product market fit. You have a bad real estate deal in Arizona, same with Miami, but that one has a very elegant solution.

Kansas City, Indianapolis and Portland (OR) would be good options as well in my opinion.

Maybe they can try Atlanta again? It's the easiest way to get a Canadian city an NHL team

Indianapolis is trending as a growth market, but the crossover fan is what you would have to convert, which I think for the NHL needs to be a proactive strategy that they utilize across their central and south east markets, it would be a slow climb but the workforce is there, but not one where I think you will get the price premium, in other words it would probably be a team that gets financial aid for the first couple of years. Portland, Atlanta... no those are just dumb money moves, that's where you put your money if you need charitable write-offs. KC has saturation challenges with football and long term Hawks and Blues fans.

SLC, I think the way the job market has evolved there and hung on, especially with new start-ups that aren't exactly small. You have a lot of households that are starting families in an area where there is just one sports team. You also have Quebec, which is another market that can absorb a team, but that would alter the east/west alignment again.

I didn't read the Strang article, but if the losses are that bad... yeah. Put the pride aside, and make the winning decision. There's no turnaround in some of those bad real estate deals. You can't ask your fanbase to make a 5 hour time commitment to catch a game. FLA and ARI have their arenas 45 minutes out of where people live. That's 90 minutes on the road, another 30 at least between parking, getting into and out of your seat. Then you have the game.

That is not mom approved. I've had major corporate clients that were minutes from these arenas, and they couldn't get free attendance. Kid needs to be in class by 8 AM the next day. Just isn't going to work. How many games can dad get away for with the guys? All 41 home games where he's getting sloshed with his buddies? No. Try 3-5.

Same can be applied to this team

Just saw the highlights from last night.

Looks like Quick went back in time like it was 2014 last night.

Was on his head.

I posted a couple of times this year about growing issues in Arizona. The owner is cash poor and doesn’t know anything about hockey. Several GM candidates bowed out after doing their research. At some point, the league is going to have to throw in the towel and move to Houston.
Give Atlanta another shot. Third times a charm.

BUT DO NOT PUT THEM DOWNTOWN. There's so much money here its ridiculous, no one wants to travel downtown though.
