Say what you want about the Sens but they will be a pain to play against. They have decent forward depth.

Sens have a lot of youngsters, more rookies than us IIRC but they still come out fast and strong and well coached.

It’s just kinda crazy to look at how a player like Norris looks vs Howden or Chytil and not think something is rotten somewhere. Coaching, player development, scouting, I don’t know.

I don’t think they are necessarily targeting the wrong guys but sometimes it smells like something is amiss with the way they come up through here.

Austin Matthews continues to just underwhelm me. He's a great trigger man but the other parts of his game just look meh. I know I'll get flamed for it but no thank you.

On another note, all the teams playing their second games today look noticably sharper and crisper in general. Hopefully we follow suit tomorrow.
