True, but you were talking about coaching.

This tweet sounds ridiculous to me. Being a player is not the same thing as being a coach.

Sabres hired him to be part of their player development group. For that, I think Girardi's experience is actually relevant. Making the NHL as an undrafted free agent gave him a more difficult path to the league which can be helpful when guiding prospects

The tweet refers to the fact that he played a long time as an UNDRAFTED player. That’s the difference. Not that your overall point might not still stand, but it’s implied that an undrafted guy had to work harder to get those games in and may know a thing or two about development.
