Let’s get a stop gap from within or just roll with what we have. We ain’t winning next season. We were almost a playoff team without a full season of Shesterkin and whatever the guy’s name is the we add in the draft with the first pick. Some guy from the Q most likely I don’t know.

Im still intrigued by a guy like Turris if he is indeed bought out. Same goes for Clifford as he is a UFA

Brassard on a 1 year deal would be a fantastic move if Gorton can bring him back.

that wasn’t what you said though originally. The post was about brassard for 1 year which makes him a stopgap. I’m not promoting that type of deal but if we need a short term guy his age isn’t a big deal.

Depth. We were an early season injury while Mika was out from having McKegg on the 3rd line.

Brassard can play wing and center. What's the worst thing that happens? He signs and we don't need him? Having actual depth is important. He's still a good player.

Brassard was getting healthy scratched during the season and Isles fans were cursing his name. He'd do nothing here. Just like in Colorado and Florida.

This team shouldn’t be signing anyone over 28 at this point. We don’t need a stop gap. Promote from within.

Wow that deflection on Barzal in warmups was scary. Noticed a long time ago the Rangers clearly mandate every player wear a helmet in warmups whereas most every other team you have a handful of guys skating without them.

While I dislike the Islanders, watching their work ethic makes me want to root for them at least for now. Trotz and that organization easily could have folded up shop when Tavares left and they just continued building this identity. Good on them to keep pushing and as much as I don’t like seeing them do well, it’s good for the rivalry and it’s good for the sport in the NY area.

Because Canadian teams have the most annoying fans. All of them. Except maybe Calgary.

Toronto and montreal have the worst fans, the rest are fine but then again other teams think we have the worst so go figure.

This Flyers team honestly tries to be too cute. It's very AV hockey in that regard. I remember the 1st Flyers game in the bubble, the one where they destroyed their opponent with ridiculous goals. That's what is happening tonight except they're playing in a game with no time and space and Trotz locking things down.

I've never thought much of JVR. He's had a decent but underwhelming career for a 2nd overall pick.

That's what is happening tonight except they're playing in a game with no time and space and Trotz locking things down.

That sounds exactly like AV's teams. I remember us winning a game like 6-3 against the Blues where every goal was some Harlem Globetrotter shit but when games tightened up in the playoffs we would struggle to score 2 goals.
