AV made some typical AV-like decisions but its not his fault that team is just loaded with average players and formerly elite but now declining stars. Voracek invisible, Giroux invisible, Konecny ZERO goals in the playoffs. Couturier invisible and then injured. The team overachieved in the regular season, only got this far because they got a Montreal team who can't score in round one.

I remember reading an analysis on here about the MSL/Cally trade and how the 2015 first round pick wasn't that significant because it resulted in Beauvillier. Not only is that a wild breach in logic to judge the trade asset based on who ends up getting selected with the specific pick a year later but Anthony Beauvillier is EXACTLY the kind of player this team needs more of.
 
Man I must have missed all the predictions at the beginning of the season that the Flyers were gonna easily roll to the ECF. Team was plus 24 points from last year and basically won the metro. Their top line was literally MIA the whole series and they were one game from the ecf. Not one forward on that lineup scares anyone.

Part of Beauvillier's success is his development. Often ignored, where and how prospects develop is just as important as drafting the right player.

And Philly had zero game breakers to do anything. Seem like they had to be dragged along offensively by Kevin Hayes.
Tampa will have several game breakers.

It's shocking how little Philly's supposed top forwards did in these playoffs. Zero elite talent up front. Only one that I really noticed was Hayes, the others were invisible. After watching their series against both Montreal and the Isles it's amazing they were the 1st seed. Anyway, Isles dream ends against Tampa.

1 game is despicable. You want to stop these hits, that hit needs to be worth 5 games ... The entire standard needs to be bumped up substantially. Guys get 1 game suspensions for bad hits like this in THE NFL for a 16 game season -- that's the equivalent of more than 5 games over an 82 game season.
