I'm sure it's just this year, but I hope they go back to re-seeding every round again soon. Hockey's regular season is too grueling to nerf it's significance as much as the bracket system does.

Since last winning the Cup in 89 the Flames have advanced past the first round TWICE, in 2004 when they made the finals and in 2015 under Hartley. Brutal.

that is crazy. Didn’t realize it was that bad. And that 89 team was awesome along with pre 89 who battled the Oilers.
 
Arizona really had no business making it as far as they did and they got outclassed so hard, but it's tough to see Dallas taking down Colorado.

Especially when Sportsnet has the Avalanche ahead in the series already.
 
He looks SOO damn good.

Wish Lias Andersson could have taken this path. Sigh
crap Lias even being a Suzuki lite would have been fine. All we needed for him is to become a decent bottom 6 winger or center.
