I'm sure it's just this year, but I hope they go back to re-seeding every round again soon. Hockey's regular season is too grueling to nerf it's significance as much as the bracket system does.

I really don't know why they feel the need to foster rivalries. Playoff hockey doesn't need that.

Since last winning the Cup in 89 the Flames have advanced past the first round TWICE, in 2004 when they made the finals and in 2015 under Hartley. Brutal.
