I knew Calgary was going to blow that game. They were going too strong and leading way too early.

Also that team just does not impress me at all. What and who are they supposed to be?

Canada's slightly better version of the Minnesota Wild?

So, before the playoffs began, I posted Gaudreau’s underwhelming playoff numbers and was told it was too small a sample and that points didn’t tell the whole story. Gaudreau has 1 even strength playoff point in his last 18 playoff games. Let that sink in. Stars step up in the postseason and elevate. He hasn’t been that guy. In fact, he’s a big part of the reason the wheels constantly fall off that team.

Rick Nash says hi

Whoever created that NHL.com site has taken far too much mind altering medication, recreational/prescribed or illegal, to be cohesive. I mean this in a a bad way. DAMN!

what’s wrong with a site which looks like the Vegas strip from a distance? User friendly - Click anything/anywhere

:eyeroll: Ok Francessa. Let's see how far they go after this round.

“Last season's playoffs are ancient history.”

where are the finesse teams? Tampa who added grit b/c board play derailed them last year. Even the Islanders won. Bruins had the upper hand on the Canes team which swept the Rangers

Like i posted “Rangers skated circles around this huge Stars team who appear built for the playoffs like many.”

Everybody plays the boards hard. That Dallas team couldn’t skate with the Rangers during the regular season yet would pulverize them in the playoffs. Big men, gain position and push, lean, obstruct all over the ice.

I don't understand how there is no 'Playoffs' tab along the top. Who cares what the 'Standings' are right now?

If i want to see the bracket, i have to click on a graphic at the far bottom right side-bar for 'Stanley Cup Playoff Coverage' that i have scroll down for to even see.

You can get to the bracket and whatnot for the playoffs under the "Schedule" tab at the top of the page. And then from there you can click on a series for more info on that particular series.

Should it be re-named "Playoffs"? Yes.

Is it fairly accessible? Yes.

You don't need to scroll down.

Because, like he said, the NHL’s web designers are trippin’ ballz.

A good young team that doesn't know how to win.

I still think Washington winning a Cup was fluke. Might as well have a * next to it as far as I’m concerned.
That Pittsburgh series was a mess. No way the Caps deserved to get through it. But instead of getting stuffed then and there it gave them the impetus to go all the way. Sad, really.

So I was wrong, if MTL comes back, they being the 8 seed would play Tampa the 2 seed. Then the Islanders and Bruins would meet in the 2nd round....

curious who are the small guys the Rangers have been going with up front? Mika Kreider Buchnevich Kakko Chytil Lemieux Howden Gauthier Kravtsov Barron Lafreniere is a brick house. These are all big men. who are all these small guys? Panarin? He’s our best player.

we aren’t building a small team. We just are young and need to grow and mature.

I think it was like 3 years ago, the NHL had a layout that really worked. It was headlines in a box on the right, multi-media based news and features in the center, and then more media-heavy features down the page. Scores and teams and other menus at the top. It was clean and simple and I liked it. Not too different from ESPN before ESPN added overwhelming amount of content all over the page.

The whole, "news links on one side, pictures in middle, menu at the top," has been a winning formula since f***ing Angelfire.
