Yeah, I do like Maroon.I can see why teams with Maroon have done well lately. I like how he plays. Hard and clean and smart and effective.
I didn’t really get his value until the last couple playoffs. Now I see.Yeah, I do like Maroon.
It's quite likely that he's injured.Tyler Seguin is a huge waste of cap space.
He has a wrist injury and has had it since at least the Colorado series, maybe even longer. If the wrist isn't given time to properly heal it can be re-injured as well. He likely can't get anything on his shot.Seriously. What happened to him?
Seriously. What happened to him?
Well, he’s had an Achilles injury, a knee surgery, a couple other lower body injuries and is heavily rumored to be playing injured. I’m guessing that some of those lower body injuries have caught up to him speedwise but he still looks pretty good to me, honestly. The most accurate definition of “snake bitten” I’ve seen in a long time. He’s in the midst of a lot of action and opportunities. He’s physical. He’s good on the draw. He PKs. He just can’t finish. Obviously if it carries on long term, that’s concerning, but from every objective angle, he seems to be hurt. He was also a scratch during at least one of the play in games.
The Pens have always made a lot with minimal defensive talent. I remember when they won the cup in 2016, half of their d-core was Dumoulin, Cole, and Lovejoy and I wrote them off. FLA sheds some contract.
That's what I've been saying too. You got Pens fans saying he's worse than Johnson, which isn't even remotely true.Matheson isn't bad but he isn't like, good.
I'm not sure what the particular interest is for the Pens.
Nah, he's an NHL defenseman and skates crop circles around Jack Johnson. That's what I've been saying too. You got Pens fans saying he's worse than Johnson, which isn't even remotely true.
The contract is an issue for sure, but Matheson is not nearly as bad as Jack Johnson
Yeah they'll call up f***in, idk, Joel Goodberry from Scranton halfway through and he'll score 36 goals.Bad things don't happen to the Pens. Matheson will probably win a Norris with them at some point with their luck.

The Pens finding random assets is right up there with the Lightning and the bottomless salary cap.

I want our 3rd round pick to be one selection higher, thank you.Let's go Dallas. Can't stand Tampa, nor do I care about a bunch of ex-Rangers possibly winning the cup.
