Man we saw this same song and dance from AV after a Game 1 win where team can’t out flat and lost, looks like that won’t change in Philly lol.

Lundkvist has always been a really good prospect, but it’s the strides he’s made in the last 12 months that have really made the concept of using ADA to shore up another area a distinct possibility.

At the time of the draft I said that Lundkvist had a lot of similarities to Boqvist, his game just was a couple of stations behind. With time I felt he could close that gap and hit that level of prospect.

Two years later, he’s done that and probably more.

I never understood this. Lundkvist won the defenseman of the year-award in SuperElit ahead of Boqvist. Size is the only reason Lundkvist was drafted lower than Boqvist

Boqvist was seen as guy who could potentially really open a game offensively and had the ability to step up and take over a game. Lundkvist was seen as being a bit more sound and well-rounded, but not necessarily a guy that you'd have on the ice in the final seconds if you were trying to tie a game or win it with an offensive zone draw. Boqvist was seen as having more boom potential, but I never really thought there was too much separating their ability or their full potential. As a result, it was surprising that Lundkvist was seen as being a lower first round pick.

Since then, I think Lundkvist has probably crossed that threshold into the territory of someone who is widely viewed as being able to really change the course of a game defensively and offensively. A guy who you really have to factor into your strategy.

I think more people “get it” now.

Can you give a comparable player that Lundkvist projects to?
