At least half the trade threads on the main boards involve the Rangers right now. I don’t think I have ever seen us have that many at once before.

I’m at fault for one of them.

I suggested us trading Kravtsov, Lundkvist, Car 1st for either Turcotte or Byfield (whoever LA likes least).

Mark "literally Jesus" Stone.

Wouldn't this mean he is the best player in the league?

Vegas dominated the 3rd period....which means the Hawks will win on some flukey ass shot

IMO Lundkvist is pretty much worth Turcotte. At season's end Nils scored goals in the last 5/6 games setting up at the top of the circle exactly like Ovechkin has been doing for years and his opponents knew what was going on but nobody could stop it. His shot has improved quite a bit and he had over 30 points in a shortened SHL season as a 19 year old defenseman and he's a well schooled defensively. I would actually rank him over K'Andre Miller--yet to see what happens when he gets here but he should at least become a very good defenseman for us.

If they both hit their full potential, I think Miller will be explosive and dangerous. But Lundkvist will be more steady and efficient.

Lundkvist could get there faster. But Miller could be a scary scary man if we give him a long enough runway.

Getting Lafreniere changes the dynamic even more. I actually think the Rangers are going to have to move on from DeAngelo if not this year then next year. There is too much commonality between what he brings and what Fox and Lundkvist bring and these are younger guys and the Rangers are going to need the 2 or 3 years of ELC that Nils will give him when he finally comes over..

Big decisions. Problem is Lundkvist hasn’t done it and is a prospect. Yes, you mentioned two years for ADA.

Offense wins games and defense wins championships.

Brendan Burke is good on play by play, probably has a shot to be the national guy when Doc hangs it up if Burke chooses to stick calling hockey.
