Torts actually got a lot of his group when you consider the players that didn't return this year but they blew that game. Korpisalo did not have a good game. When the Bruins are like the team you can stand the most in the east things are pretty f***ed up.

it’s a miracle he did so well with that Columbus team. They lost draft picks, prospects and Panarin yet battle non-stop. Torts should be the coach of the year.

No doubt he did a good job in the regular season with that team. But the way he makes his teams play now was not designed to win championships. We know that first hand.

His team lost in 6 Games to the Bruins last season after defeating Tampa. Tampa who set the world on fire last year and has still not won anything with this core.

I didn't like a lot of the things I saw from Tampa in that series.

The East is Boston's to lose and hopefully a team out west wins because I hate all of the remaining teams in the East.

Ok. They still lost. And now they just lost again. You don’t get extra points for being beaten by certain teams or beating certain teams.

Somehow, Torts is a piece of shit here and never wins anything. Now his hockey can't win games and he sucks.

He had a team full of guys you don't even know in the playoffs. Beat Toronto and with some bounces, beats Tampa Bay again, the game 1 ot loss was huge. He will never get credit from this fanbase

credit for what? We won a grand total of 3 series with him at the helm here. By the time we got to the devils in 12 half our players legs were falling off.

If things go little South with Columbus (his act gets old, etc) and our college coach doesn’t get this team to the next level quicky, i wouldn’t be surprised if JD brings back Torts to the NYR.

It's insufferable when kids like you try to talk shit about a team when you have no clue what you're watching. Meanwhile the Islanders are going to round 2 while we hold our dicks
 
I thought the Jackets did about as well as you could have hoped for them to do. They lost 2 games in OT (they got jobbed hard in the 1st one.)

They played Tampa MUCH tighter than the Rangers played LA in 2014, yet half this board is convinced that we were the better team in that series (we weren't. They got all the bounces, but they also deserved to win.)

At a certain point, talent wins. For all of you who are afraid that the Isles are going to win the cup, repeat that to yourself at least 100 times.

Truth is the truth. After the shitshow we put on, i'm shocked anybody would talk shit about any team. Islanders have structure, they play a certain style and their team buys into it. When people say "err hurrr Islanders roster sucks, errr" it's the dumbest thing ever. Clutterbuck is better than almost anyone in our bottom 6. Maybe if we had a guy or two like that, we could have at least put up a fight against Carolina instead of getting our teeth kicked in for 3 games
 
The islanders haven’t been passed the second round since my guess (and it’s just based on the level of your response), before you were alive, so spare me on how they’re the model franchise lol.

I’m not interested in blood and gutting my way to the second round and losing to a better more talented team we’ve been there done that.
