Looks like chronic migraines at this rate. Incredibly frustrating to deal with this in daily life, let alone hockey. I feel bad for him.

Brutal. Hope they can figure something out for him. Not even for his hockey career, just for his quality of life.

Edit: Wonder if this is related to head injuries he's had. I think he's had concussions.

As someone who suffered from migraines, I can’t help but feel for the guy. Blacking out your windows so no light gets in. Rotating towels you put over your eyes and forehead in ice water. Tearing uncontrollably. Inability to eat properly because chewing your food is next to impossible. Wanting to sleep but can’t, because the throbbing pain in the back of your forehead is synced up with your heart. Taking as cold a shower as possible and still feeling heat being generated out of your head.

You know when you see someone getting hit in the balls? Whether you like them or not, you feel for them. It’s a pain you don’t wish on even your most hated nemesis. I feel for Nolan. Especially considering the fact that he probably has it much worse than I did.

WOW! I get them twice a year, generally when winter ends and then when summer ends, basically any time between February and May and then September through November. Usually one bad one each time. Mine seem to be weather related due to living in North Carolina. I didn't get them growing up in New Jersey or at college in Delaware.

Mine are not that bad, thankfully. Mine start as auras. At that point there's no pain. When the aura goes away, I have five minutes before the back of my eyes start radiating pain to my head. I do attempt to sleep. If I do fall asleep, usually a good hour to an hour and a half nap. I wake up soaked in sweat and need to change the sheets. Then it's a mild headache pain in the back of the head for two-three days that flares up when I move my head quickly. It also brings on sinus pressure.

During these episodes, I'm the opposite with food. I'm constantly eating because it minimizes the pain. Probably has something to do with the sinuses.

I can't imagine dealing with that on a regular basis. No way could anyone play a sport at a professional level with that condition.

And I repeat, mine are MILD to compared to what most people who suffer from them get.

If they are migraines I'm not sure there is any correlations with concussions. I get them and they are totally debilitating. I'm guessing he gets them frequently and they last quite a while. Really horrible.
I don't take any prophylactic medications for mine but I thought there were some medications that help including botox.

Yeah but at least that team outworked everyone.

The Caps literally look like they expect to win just by showing up. And Holtby is horrible.
Sure what it looked like yesterday. Tons of floating around. Holtby picked wrong time for team and even himself to really really start sucking

This Jackets team reminds of Torts' Rangers team. Good coaching, grit and compete. Unfortunately the lack of talent eventually catches up.

Torts' teams are always so ballsy. They've suffered 2 heartbreaking defeats already and come out just as strong the next game. Meanwhile, Fast gets flattened in the first minute of Game 1 and the Rangers lose their mojo for the whole series.

The first overall pick is a hell of a consolation prize.

Yeah, Columbus is tough mentally. Tortorella talked about how important the mental aspect is of the game. The Rangers are very young, but I think the mental toughness should come with more overcoming adversity and playoff experience.

And wow, Claude Julien out for the rest of the series. He went to the hospital today with chest pains. Not COVID related they say. Kirk Muller taking over head coaching duties.

Wennberg pulled that move in slow motion and shattenkirk still was completely walked lol.

Awful
