Looks like chronic migraines at this rate. Incredibly frustrating to deal with this in daily life, let alone hockey.

Let me just say, anyone who’s never had a migraine (and thank God I haven’t had one in about a decade—though I still get auras occasionally) and thinks the kid should “suck it up and play” can preemptively STFU about this. A migraine is to a headache what clinical depression is to “feeling kinda down.”

Very possible.

Feel for him, never really got a chance to get going.

That 2017 draft is going to look very weird when we look back and review it.

I think it's going to be a draft where a lot of top guys had good but not great careers, a lot of the middle guys had the best careers, and a bunch of guys were close, and showed promise, but never quite hit that next level.

I mean even a kid like Vilardi, who has shown flashes of real promise, has never played more than 62 games in the last 5 years, and has only one season where he played more than 49 games.

and we totally blew it lol. Hopefully Chytil becomes at least a 2C then it won't hurt so bad.

Not too sure about that. Hischier, Heiskanen, Makar, Pettersson, Glass, Necas, Suzuki, Brannstrom, etc. All top 15 picks who could have great careers at a minimum.

Hischier looks good, not great. Glass is still a work in progress.

Of course there will be great players, but I’m not seeing a particularly great draft either.

As someone who suffered from migraines, I can’t help but feel for the guy. Blacking out your windows so no light gets in. Rotating towels you put over your eyes and forehead in ice water. Tearing uncontrollably. Inability to eat properly because chewing your food is next to impossible. Wanting to sleep but can’t, because the throbbing pain in the back of your forehead is synced up with your heart. Taking as cold a shower as possible and still feeling heat being generated out of your head.

You know when you see someone getting hit in the balls? Whether you like them or not, you feel for them. It’s a pain you don’t wish on even your most hated nemesis. I feel for Nolan. Especially considering the fact that he probably has it much worse than I did.

So, wait. Toronto turned into a flaming paper bag full of shit, again?! So we’re getting the Carolina pick and Carolina’s getting the Toronto pick, right?
