Hurricanes free falling. I feel bad but Skjei has been abysmal for them and Nadelkjovic has not been good enough. Vatanen might not even end up playing for them and Pesce isn't coming back anytime soon. Rough stuff.
 
Still weird to think that despite everything, Vancouver at 17, and in the playoffs, is only three points ahead of Montreal picking 8th.

The Rangers, pushing for a playoff spot, are more or less only a two game reversal of fortune from picking 10th.

Talk about anything goes.

When people were saying Skjei's a replacement level defensemen, I wasn't quite buying it but maybe.... maybe now....

Yeah, I don't think we can root too much against the Islanders because they are currently our best bet of locking Toronto out of a playoff spot.

NYR-NYI

situation. Either Toronto gets a top 10 pick and Carolina wins the lotto, or BOTH Toronto and Carolina win the lotto, giving the Rangers one of Lafrenière or Byfield. Brady Skjei for Byfield would go down as an epic trade.

That’s not a possible playoff scenario. Columbus is in the Metro. Florida would have to catch Toronto for there to be a possibility of Toronto missing the playoffs.

We have to be rooting for Carolina tomorrow, no? Keep the teams all close together. I know we want Carolina to miss the playoffs but if Toronto makes it, then it doesnt matter.

CBJ has EDM as the late game tomorrow.

I think I'd prefer the Islanders to win. I'm okay chasing them down, let's push this to a 3-team race between Columbus, NYR and NYI. I feel they can win that.

Plus the Carolina pick becomes better

We need Toronto to lose to Anaheim

Exactly. Florida now only has a game in hand as opposed to the 2-3 games in hand they had 2 weeks ago while only being 2 points back. Its slipping away for Florida. Toronto hasnt been great themselves but Florida has been bad.

Again, i think it would be best served to keep the teams tight together. I think CBJ falls out of it.
Just too many injuries. So the last 2 spots come down to us, NYI, and CAR. I’d rather keep the Islanders closer. JMO

Is anyone concerned about going to games due to the Coronavirus?

I have tickets for 3/16, got them for my daughters birthday (and mine too lol). It's only 10 days away but who knows where the spread will be by then.

There has been talk about possibly playing some games/playoffs with no crowds to get the full season in, like how Asia is playing baseball right now. Crazy.

Probably, Yea. As long as the NYR take care of their own business, they will be fine. Getting Igor back will help.
