Kakko's playing better bc he's being given a real opportunity to play his game and make an impact the way he and all his life before the NHL.

What is Seattle doing differently? You mean besides stapling him to their top center, force-feeding him minutes, telling him to play his game and not worry about mistakes..?.They're even having him stay with a Finnish player.

They're doing this for a 23 year old Kakko. Imagine we'd done any of it for an 18-21 year old. Crazy cope to imagine there's just something in the Pacific Northwest climate that's vibing with him different lmfao

He has 9 points in 12 games with Seattle. He started the first 12 games of the season with us with 7. The difference is he’s getting 1PP time and about 3 mins more a game. He’s been good/fine, but I’m not going to lose sleep over trading him.

Idk what the kids ceiling is at this point, just pointing out the obvious: it wasn't just 'not gonna happen here'. The rangers made sure it wouldn't basically from day one.

Now all this drama makes sense. His old lady hosts the other players wives and girlfriends for games. I would bet my entire life savings and all future earnings that this Petterson / Miller beef is from Mrs. Petterson not liking some vintage lampshade Mrs. Miller picked out at an estate sale. And now she’s disinvited.

Re: Kakko

We need to do better at acclimating guys like that, whatever Seattle is doing. If it means importing 300 cans of Surstromming or whatever it is called that those Finns eat to get him going than so be it.

Surely we have some guys in the organization who can bury some fish in the ground and dig it up in a few months to get Scandinavian players firing on all cylinders.

You mean dropping him off in midtown, fresh off the plane, and putting 40 bucks spending money in his pocket wasn't good organization on-boarding?

Wow, it's a nice city.

Heathen. Finns eat sauteed reindeer. Surströmming is for Swedes.
