People here speak about how Kakko got his chance in top lines, yeah thats true but you need to build the team around likes of Lafreniere and Kakko.

Yeah this is the answer. He played on two lines that basically refused to pass to him. Panarin flat out didn’t want to play with him, he could have elevated him but no. Horrible asset management, this is another buchnevich all over again

What damage control, we traded a young 3rd liner. It's not serious. He hasn't shown a damn thing for anyone to think he's some untapped offensive stud.
