Around the NHL - Part XLIII (Off-Season Edition)

Vancouver wearing their alternates. When they wear alternates a lot, it usually is a precursor to being permanent the next season.

don't forget young defensive depth
Definitely need more youth on defense. Another Schneider and Mancini types is needed. Tired of seeing AHL vets on d but this happens when you just draft too many forwards and not enough dman with any potential. Rangers organization is a mess and needs to be upgraded in the depth. Habs have tons of young dman, as do the Ducks, Wild, Hawks. Rangers should make a forward prospect for d prospect type of trade.

amen brother

Stood up for Zooks with a fight as well. He is a strong guy. I was hapoy when he got in Kachooks face last year ☺️

In fairness, if he has been dealing with a lingering back concern, fighting is not a great idea with that. That’s a good way to injure it pretty quickly.

I think some of the main concern is that there are maybe 2-3 guys who would even be willing to drop the gloves up front (Cuylle, Carrick, Trochek). The skill guys the Rangers have are almost incapable of it

The Winnipeg Jets have placed forward Daniel Torgersson on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating the remaining years on his contract.

Can this be done with any player that doesn't have a nmc?

Kakko just lost a skate blade and struggled to get to the bench. Puck went off his skate. He blocked his own teammates' shot.

On a 6v5, Kakko forechecks and causes a turnover that becomes a Dunn goal, but no assist for our Kaapo because he didn't touch the puck.
