He was a POWER FORWARD, words which are Nuclear Powered Cialis to any NHL GM, especially back then
tbf Guerin was a power forward who could skate well. He was basically Chris Kreider but more skilled and physical. That would probably be close to his cap hit if he was playing now, that's crazy.

Rooting for Trouba. Hope he pops off with a different Defensive coach and far away from KAM. Maybe that will set off some alarms with this org, if they aren't already going off.

Jacob Trouba played here for 5+ years under 4 different defensive coaches (by my count - Ruff, Martin, Murphy, Housley.)

He was varying degrees of bad under all of them except for that first year under Murphy where he was decent.

He isn't popping off under anyone.

He had a solid debut, finished -1 but that was due to Dostal misplaying the puck behind the net. Seemed to win the majority of his battles or come out on the better end of hard contact. We've had such a young/soft back end in recent years, so that at least was refreshing.

And if he continues to play well, it's just more proof that he f***ing quit on this team. f*** him.
I mean, that wouldn’t take away. Maybe this season you could make that argument and personally I wouldn’t blame him, but it doesn’t explain the previous seasons.
