Pretty sure he signed as a free agent. When a team gets into the top echelon of teams it gets harder and harder to keep all the components together because of cap compliance. It's also why Florida had to move on from Montour and Ekman-Larsson. Taxes are one thing but a team still has to work within the parameters of the cap unless you're Vegas.

A thing I always liked about Buch is he'll stick up for himself. That said that's not a great fight by any means and Holmberg doesn't look as if he has much idea of what he's doing apart from trying to duck and you're not really fighting if you're not looking at your opponent.
