Can someone explain to me the whole Minnesota/Nashville thing? They (Minnesota) pulled the goalie during 3 on 3 and if they lost they would have forfeited their point?

Wtf? I feel like I should know this but clearly do not...

Exactly right and it's a new one for me. If you elect to pull your goalie during overtime apparently during normal course of play and are scored on, you lose the loser point. Why? Probably because the league wanted it to be somewhat like real hockey, even though it's not.

Why do I lose the loser point if I pull my goalie for it and try and go for the win? Still seems a little weird to me but yeah I didn't understand fully when I heard it either.

As someone who is admittedly a 'glass half empty' personality, The message to the players as I see it is "We need these points, and I don't trust you to win in the shootout".

Bedard with 50 in 52. 4 point night for him. 9 in his last 5. Hella impressive.

Edit: 5 point night now.

You simply don't understand the Yzerplan. They need just 4 or 5 more years to build and then they can start ramping up to retool for the rebuild.

The Yzerplan...

Few more years until he can draft these 'kids'.

So the wimpy devils fans are talking a lot about taking Rangers players out in the the final game of the series (and others are talking about causing CTE or cutting players open with skates - never change debbie fans) but as is usual with their limited hockey understanding, they've got it all wrong. You can't play an effective chippy game on demand, you have to have the lineup and you have to have the experience of playing nasty games. If the last game gets dirty, who do you think is going to get really nasty, the babysoft devils or the Rangers?

Same thing with teams like carolina, the more physical the game gets the more it advantage the Rangers. There are a few other physical teams out there as well but there are a lot more soft teams in the league right now.
