Mara (Owner) brought in a new GM and coach. Not only did they fire the higher-ups responsible for scouting, they noticed the way they would draft and look at players was behind the times. And I do believe one of the prerequisites was that they have carte blanche as to what was needed to bring the Giants back to relevance without having the owner involved, and Mara gave his blessings.

This team last year showed more effort in the playoffs than this year. More comebacks more hustle in my opinion unless the team played through injuries the whole season and playoffs and never took care of themselves. Maybe they tired themselves out.
