Johnson isn't really a bottom six guy. Filppula could be a 3rd line center. If they got him it'd look like:

Stamkos/Drouin
Stastny
Johnson

Plenty of options now for them

Spezza or Stastny at C
Erhoff or Niskanen at D

Bolland at C is possible as well ,, Not sure they have opened enough cap for him though

And Vanek after his playoff no show shouldn't be highly sought after IMO

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he played this junior year as a center because Tampa's plans are to move Stamkos to wing and have Drouin center him.

Why would Valteri be bumped out of top 6 after his year?

I don't know. Johnson was playing #1C with Stamkos injured, and even when he returned Stamkos was on his wing.

Doing all this for Richards and Boyle would be a waste IMO

Neither is needed and Boyle will be 39 to start next season

We only play them twice a year. They could trade for Crosby and I wouldn't be afraid of playing them.

Well I was implying for the Cup. They'd be a contender to make it out of the East with the right signings. Great forwards though young, good system, good coach, good defense (if they sign Ehrhoff and someone else).

B's are strong but facing cap troubles + Habs give them troubles

Lightning improve that D and Bishop is healthy and they can do some major damage next year
