I think the biggest compliment that I can offer Bergeron is that for a guy that lived in Boston for 20 years…I do not hate him.

Yeah. I really, really hate the Bruins so the fact that I can respect Bergeron is a borderline miracle.

Oh and it's pretty awesome that he's is a one-team player. Adds another layer to his legacy.

Ahem.
 
Bruins fans' last memory of Bergeron is him crying on the ice while their team choked away a historical season. I like Bergeron, but that's just beautiful and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving fanbase.

I just looked at the Bruins' center depth for next season and I now feel like this post was too harsh. Sending them my thoughts and prayers.
 
Pretty rare to see athletes go out at such a high level. He never really dipped at all after his sophomore season, just the model of consistency.
