If you want to split then you need more speed then he had going. Also him with his legs super wide gliding just made him a larger target while he was trying to go through a narrow space.

The dump would have been the smarter play there. It wasn't a great hit but you'd think Laine with all his injury issues would have learned to protect himself a bit better. That is one of the things Perfetti had to learn, don't put yourself in a position to potentially receive big hits when you don't need to.
Some people around here think that the D man should have stepped aside to give Laine some room to complete his "hockey play"

Watched the laine replay... biggest thing that stands out is how long it took the refs to blow the play dead

Next thing is that we are lucky to have a zone entry guy with speed like ehlers because the d was really set up for laine

I dont blame the D at all even if he did lead with his knee - they were just playing their position

Dumb move to try to dangle there but its also preseason and theres lots of dumb moves happening

If laine had speed then this doesnt happen - felt like i was watching the youngstars game

Laine out and that looked REALLY bad but I guess we will have to wait and hear.

Watched the Flyers game yesterday and Michkov looks unreal. That kid has elite level vision and play making.

Good for the Philly fans to have something to be excited about after what that Gauthier character pulled. Drysdale looked good so it has all worked out so far.

It’s nice to have another young star like Michkov in the league. Hope he lights it up this season.

If I was Patrik, I'd be taking my 50 million, and go try to win a championship in Tappara or wherever. That body will never be able to endure the NHL schedule....... assuming he'll be able to play again in any capacity.

"Why was he skating down the ice and trying to make a legitimate hockey play before someone threw out their knee and injured him?".

"I'm NOT blaming him, but. . . yeah I'm blaming him"

I don't care what the look is, especially on this forum . If you think this is anyones fault but the guy who stuck his knee out you're a f***ing clown. The end. He didn't put himself in a vunerable position, he was skating up the ice. Unless you think Connor kinda deserved his too?
I didn't agree or disagree with the play or people on either side.

It was a commentary of your complete lack of respect for other posters on this forum.

Your high and mighty smarter than everyone attitude is childish and shows a lack of emotional intelligence, and your reply to me is a glorious example of that.

Doesn't matter, that's the last post I'll ever see from you. I don't need negativity and disrespect like that on a forum that's supposed to be fun and distract from real world issues.

Good day.
