It could have been Tuch + Cozens for EP40 + GarlandWell, we know that they will never retain 50% on Tuch, so that is a non-starter right there.
While I am scared of all the red flags with EP40 today, that is the type of move that I would prefer the Sabres make if they were to move on from Cozens and Tuch.
They can't move them for futures and I would prefer that they try and package them for a "best guy in the deal" type player at a position of need.
Kind of crazy that Carolina has this much of an issue signing Rantanen ..
