No thread for today’s game yet, but B365 has us -245, what could go wrong? (Sarcasm)

It was -260 earlier today, more people taking the Ducks if I have that right on how betting lines move based on the liability on the books. Don’t blame them, I think Sens but not to the confidence of those crazy odds.
-230 Sens
+198 Ducks

Last I checked, nothing to do with amount of people
It’s the amount bet on either side

They have the best goaltending they've ever had during their failed timeline with this core. Both guys are legit options they can go to. I do think it's a cause for concern, but still expect them to choke.
I agree. I remember Samsanov playing really well in one playoff but TML couldn't score so they still lost. That forward group can't seem to score when their time/space is limited. Goaltending won't fix that.

Stolarz is vastly underrated, that's a guy I wanted Dorion to sign last year instead of going after Fourpisalo

3rd best GSAA/60 since 2022-23 (Ullmark is 1st, Hellebuyck is 2nd)

Tied for 2nd in SV% since 2020-21 with 0.919 SV% (Ullmark 1st with 0.921 SV%)

That's why I am terrified to watch this current version of the Sens in the playoffs.

But I'd take anything really if we could start making the playoffs (which is why I really disliked the "yeah but Brannstrom in the playoffs is too small" argument lol)

.898 save % one year, 3.13 gaa
.896 save % one year , 3.01 gaa

But ya TO top players have had problems scoring in elimination games. Nylander being the best.

Can we pick up Alex Nylander on waivers please?

He's not a great 2-way player for sure but who knows? He is very skilled and maybe would help us with our most urgent need : secondary scoring. He scored 11 goals in 23 games with the Jackets last season so maybe we get lucky there

Only $775,000, worst case scenario we waive him again and send him to the AHL

Stolarz said he wanted to go to a team that had a chance to go deep. He apparently had better offers.

Pretty common thing to say after signing with a playoff team. Doesn't mean much.

Stolarz has made backup money his entiree career. Not the usually the type of player who leaves millions on the table.

Odd given that he's already got a cup.

I suspect it came down to who the other offers were from.

I imagine his top priority was opportunity to be the starter.

After that, given that he's likely getting backup money regardless, quality of team was probably pretty important.

Ducks are playing Toronto today. My two most hated teams against each other. Cheering for Ducks to beat TML just for the sake of the Leafs slowing down in their playoff hunt.

More starts is huge but that was true with other offers. It took him less than 24 hours to decide.
