I think we are fast approaching a point where Pettersson and/or Miller surpass Naslund for 3rd best Canuck forward in this century.
Not until he does a Nike commercial with KaprizovI think we are fast approaching a point where Pettersson and/or Miller surpass Naslund for 3rd best Canuck forward in this century.
He didn't play at 275 buts it's a cute story.Absolutely. He played at around 270-275 in full gear and could play any game, could beat a defence on the rush wide or find a way through it, was a great passer, and played in the slot like a basketball player in the post -- he'd just keep his back to 1-2 defenders 10 feet from the net, wait for them to commit to a play, and then draw the puck through them to get a shot or dish it off in all the space he created. I've never seen anyone else with the strength and skill to do that. I think most of us feel that if things had gone a bit differently he could have been one of the best power forwards ever.
Perhaps a change of scenery trade of Hoglander for Kakko could work.Kaapo Kakko is on the block again in NY. A former second overall pick who appears to have worn out his welcome in the Big Apple. Any interest from the Canucks? At least he has the size that could help their forward line.
In full gear. His true playing weight was about 250 and with full gear including skates and stick it put him at 270-275.He didn't play at 275 buts it's a cute story.
curious about your reasoning. it’s not like ohlund didn’t also play forever here.
He was traded before the century began...?Tough to leave Bure of that team.

Yeah. Can't really imagine it's not this that gets selected.I don't know if it's 'right', but I'd bet money it's Sedin-Sedin-Naslund, Hughes-Edler, Luongo.
5 skaters and a goalie for each team, from 2000 to present.
Canucks one would have some some no brainer and some tough ones. Twins, Hughes, Luongo are all locks. But who rounds out the F and D?
Maybe…
Sedin - Sedin - Naslund/Petey/Miller/Boeser/Kesler/Burrows?
Hughes - Ohlund/Edler/Tanev/Bieksa/Hamhuis/Salo?
Luongo
Might be easier to figure out an all time worst.
And now, the century team of "oh yeah, those guys."
Matt Pettinger - Brandon Reid - Bill Sweatt
Rory Fitzpatrick - Lee Sweatt
Dany Sabourin (Honourable mention: Chris Levesque)
Luongo should be on both the Van and Fla teams. Wonder how common that will be.I don't know if it's 'right', but I'd bet money it's Sedin-Sedin-Naslund, Hughes-Edler, Luongo.
Could make a case for Pietrangelo on both St. Louis/Vegas. Can’t think of many others.Luongo should be on both the Van and Fla teams. Wonder how common that will be.

Silly goose, Boucher doesn't play center.Brandon Prust- Reid Boucher - Loui Eriksson/Jake Virtanen
Erik Gudbranson - Luca Sbisa
Braden Holtby
The Rangers are bad, folks.
